BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Seniors DeRon Davis and Devonte Green will represent Indiana next week at Big Ten Basketball Media Days at the Rosemont Hilton in suburban Chicago.

It's the first formal league-wide gathering of the basketball season, with 35 players and all 14 head coaches expected to be in attendance at the Wednesday, Oct. 2 event.

Before that, though, the Hoosiers will be unveiled to the media this Tuesday and Wednesday on campus at Assembly Hall. Players are meeting with the media on Tuesday afternoon, and Indiana coach Archie Miller will speak on Wednesday.

Green and Davis are the only two seniors on Indiana's roster, and they will be looked upon to be leaders of this young Hoosiers team this season. Indiana, in its third year under Miller, is eager to get back into NCAA Tournament postseason play.

The Hoosiers were 19-16 a year ago, but finished just 8-12 in the Big Ten and lost their first conference tournament game to Ohio State. They were invited to the NIT, where they won twice before losing to Wichita State in the quarterfinals.

All 11 scholarship players — seniors Green and Davis; juniors Justin Smith and Al Durham; sophomores Rob Phinisee, Damezi Anderson and (redshirt)Race Thompson; and freshmen Trayce-Jackson-Davis, Armaan Franklin and (redshirt) Jerome Hunter; plus Butler transfer Joey Brunk — will speak with the media on Tuesday in small groups.

Some key dates coming up for the Hoosiers:

Saturday, Oct. 5:  Hoosier Hysteria at Assembly Hall (4 p.m. ET) .

Tuesday, Oct. 29: First exhibition game vs. Gannon at Assembly Hall (7 p.m. ET)
