Indiana Outside Linebacker Myles Jackson Enters Transfer Portal
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana outside linebacker Myles Jackson entered the transfer portal on Sunday.
He announced the decision shortly after Indiana fired head coach Tom Allen. Jackson has one year of remaining eligibility.
Jackson joined the Hoosiers before the 2022 season as a transfer from UCLA. At 6-foot-2 and 250 pounds, he mostly played Indiana's Bull position, which is similar to a defensive end or an outside linebacker, with responsibilities to rush the passer, contain the edge and occasionally drop back in pass coverage.
During the 2022 season, Jackson appeared in all 12 games, totaled 18 tackles, two tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception. Playing 12 games in the 2023 season, made 25 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble.
At UCLA, Jackson suffered a season-ending knee injury in his collegiate debut against Colorado on Nov. 7, 2020, then made six tackles in seven games during the 2021 season. Jackson attended Mill Creek High School in Atlanta, Ga.
