It looks like Anthony Leal just might be the next piece in Archie Miller's recruiting puzzle at Indiana.

The 6-foot-5 guard from Bloomington South, a fast-rising star this past year or so, has narrowed his long list of offers down to two. It's between Indiana and Stanford, with an announcement set to come Friday afternoon. He's been offered by several Big Ten schools and other top programs around the Midwest.

“For me and my family, it’s been humbling to go through this experience,'' Leal told Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com. "It helps us appreciate all the blessings we’ve had and how many things have come along with the game of basketball,” Leal said.

Leal is the top-ranked player from Indiana in the 247sports composite rankings, a 4-star recruit and one of just two Indiana kids with a 4-star rating, which is rare. (There are no 5-star kids this year.) He is an excellent 3-point shooter, something that Indiana desperately needs, and will become Bloomington South's all-time leading scorer sometime this winter, which is saying something.

Leal is close friends with Trey Galloway, the Culver Academies senior who committed to the Hoosiers two weeks ago. Galloway is ranked No. 5 in Indiana as a high 3-star recruit. Galloway, who plays for his father Mark at Culver, won a state championship as a sophomore. He and Leal are two of the leading contenders for the Indiana Mr. Basketball award this season.

Leal's announcement is expected to come late Friday afternoon. We'll have much more later in the day. Leal likely will just be announcing his decision on social media.
