Matthew McGavic

Former University of Michigan point guard Michael "Spike" Albrecht has taken the next step in his coaching career, and has joined the Louisville men's basketball program as a graduate assistant, according to his high school basketball program's Twitter page.

Most Louisville fans should be very familiar with Albrecht. Coming off the bench in the 2013 national championship game, he scored 17 points and four three-pointers all in the first half for the Michigan Wolverines. Louisville won the game 82-76.

Albrecht played at Michigan from 2012-16, and played his final year at Purdue as a graduate transfer.
