Pregame

6:29-LSU takes the field for final warmups

6:39-Terrace Marshall and Cordale Flott are fully dressed in pregame warmups.

6:39-Defensive ends Glen Logan and Rashard Lawrence are also fully dressed and going through pregame warmups.

6:45- Baton Rouge is being called and it's loud in Death Valley tonight. Should be one magnificent atmosphere

6:50 p.m.- Not a bad way to kickoff the evening

7:03 p.m.- Tigers take the field

Captains: Patrick Queen, Thaddeus Moss, Joe Burrow, Blake Ferguson

Florida wins the toss and elects to defer to second half. Joe Burrow and company get the ball first

First Quarter

Ja'Marr Chase sheds a few tackles for an opening pick up of nine yards

Tigers pick up a first down and are up to the Gator 45-yard line.

Big play alert as Burrow hits Jefferson for a pickup of 30 yards.

Burrow run out of bounds on 3rd down. 44-yard field goal no good from Cade York. Florida with a big win on the opening possession

K'Lavon Chaisson and a smattering of LSU defenders stuff Florida on second down. 3rd and 11 coming up for the Gators. Florida goes three and out on that possession.

LSU pass rush made itself felt on that drive. Florida calls timeout.

Tiger great Johnny Robinson being honored in between breaks here in the first quarter. Punt return team out on fourth down for LSU.

Well that was quick. Two plays and a touchdown as Tigers go 66 yards including a 57 yard run by Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Burrow connects with Chase on the next play for the nine yard touchdown.

Score Update: LSU 7, Florida 0

Crowd noise may be affecting Florida offense and who could blame them. Can barely hear yourself think in here.

Perine breaks free for a gain of 17 yards. Kristian Fulton shaken up on the play. Walks off slowly. Freshman Jay Ward in for the injured Fulton.

Florida inside the LSU 30 on a 11 yard reception to Perine.

On 3rd-and-6, Trask makes a six yard completion. LSU calls timeout and the play is under further review.

On 3rd-and-goal, Trask connects on a 5-yard touchdown pass. Kristian Fulton was back in on the play and Trask went right at him.

Score Update: LSU 7, Florida 7 

Ed Ingram enters game at left guard. Burrow with a short slant completion to Stephen Sullivan, his first snag of the evening.

LSU offense goes three and out and will punt. Tigers tried to go hurry up and Jefferson was chopped down just shy of a first down. 

The Tiger defense holds after an opening 17-yard completion to open the drive. End of first quarter.

End quarter 1: LSU 7, Florida 7

Second Quarter

Joe Burrow-Justin Jefferson. A combination that is hard to match The pair have LSU to the Florida 16 yard line on a 36-yard gain and a pass interference call.

So as I was saying. Burrow hits Jefferson for a 6-yard touchdown 13-7 LSU but the play is under review. Looks like he got it. 

Call confirmed, touchdown

Scoring Update: LSU 14, Florida 7

Perine does a phenomenal job of breaking out of tackles. That or LSU is having those bugaboos again in the first half. Tyler Shelvin was hurt on that last run but walks off on his own after being treated by trainers.

Trask completes a big gainer to Pitts right over the head of Grant Delpit. Gators in LSU territory.

Grant Delpit knocks down what would've been a touchdown to Pitts. But he pays the price and is down on the field after the play. 3rd-and-2 coming up for Florida.

Emory Jones gets the first on a quarterback keeper. Florida down to the LSU 15-yard line.

Big sequence of events as LSU defense comes up big, stuffing Jones and Perine to bring up 4th-and-goal from the 1-yard line. Florida calls timeout to contemplate.

Touchdown Florida. An unlucky break for LSU as the ball was tipped but somehow finds the hands of Perine

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is having an enormous first half. Touchdown run of 39 yards quickly puts the Tigers back on top That drive took 1:29. CEH with 121 yards on five carries in the first half.

Scoring Update: LSU 21, Florida 14

LSU defense gets Florida into 3rd-and-6 scenario but a pass interference call on JaCoby Stevens will give the Gators a fresh set of downs.

Grant Delpit drops a potentially game-changing interception. Trask connects with Pitts on the next play for a big gain. 

Pitts now with 69 yards receiving in the first half.

Touchdown Florida. Kyle Trask has made some awesome throws in this first half. With a defender draped on Jefferson, the two combine for a score and tie this thing up.

Half: LSU 21, Florida 21 

Tigers kneel to end the half. Burrow goes for 121 yards and two touchdowns, CEH 121 yards and a touchdown Florida offense has been quite good with Kyle Pitts and Lamical Perine causing fits.

Third Quarter

Florida opens with back-to-back completions that put the offense at the 38-yard line of LSU.

Kyle Trask attacking Derek Stingley to start the third quarter. Three straight completions made against the freshman for 49 yards.

Kyle Trask touchdown to Jefferson. Stingley in coverage on the touchdown Florida leads LSU 28-21 with 10:54 to go in the game. Florida dominating time of possession and have run 51 plays to LSU 22.

Scoring Update: Florida 28, LSU 21

Joe Burrow and the LSU offense have the ball at the Gator 27 after a 19-yard run from Burrow and completions to Jefferson and Chase. A well-oiled machine continues to work fast.

Per ESPN broadcast, Derek Stingley is being checked for a concussion.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire scores from 6 yards out, his second of the night. LSU has tied the game at 28-28 and it goes without saying the defense needs a stop

Florida called for holding after a big play to start the drive to, you guessed it, Perine. 1st-and-20

Sack by Marcel Brooks gets the LSU crowd back to its peak loudness Huge three and out forced right there. Burrow and company to start at the 48-yard line 

LSU freshman running back Tyrion Davis-Price takes it 33 yards to the house, Tigers lead 35-28. Offensive line has done a tremendous job of opening running lanes for the backs tonight. Drive took 1:43

Scoring Update: LSU 35, Florida 28

Back-to-back three and outs. Defense playing with some serious confidence the last two drives. A chance for LSU to get some separation right here.

Burrow with just his second incompletion of the night but follows it up with a third down conversion to Ja'Marr Chase. Burrow has been next level great all season for this team. 15 minutes to go.

Fourth Quarter

Justin Jefferson jukes his way into Florida territory. But LSU faces 3rd-and-8.

Tigers called for a killer false start on 4th-and-3, forcing the Tigers to punt. LSU defense will look to make it three straight three and outs.

Two monster third and long conversions for Florida, the latest of which goes for 19 yards. Gators are 7-of-12 on third downs tonight.

Derek Stingley makes the play of the year for LSU. Interception in the endzone ends Florida drive. What great mental toughness from the freshman who had been a target from Trask for most of the game. Incredible.

Joe Burrow throws a 54-yard bomb to Ja'Marr Chase, putting the Tigers up 42-28 with 5:43 to go in the fourth quarter. That might be the dagger.
