Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy cornerback Ksani Jiles was the first commitment in Miami's 2026 recruiting class.

One of the top prospects in the rising sophomore class, he has helped the Canes get on the board early and start building talent from the underclassmen ranks.

Jiles' offer list is impressive for a sophomore. Jiles held eight offers with the likes of Ole Miss, LSU and USC vying for his services.

Jiles also played wide receiver in California while also returning kicks. He showed an ability to high-point footballs in 50-50 scenarios as a wideout. He also showed strong physicality off the ball as a cornerback.

Jiles projects as an outside cornerback in college, and has already worked as Ellis Robinson's backup, a five-star cornerback and Georgia commit that's slated to visit The U on June 9.

Considering Miami is in play for many of the Ascenders' athletes, gaining Jiles' commitment is a chess move by Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff. Miami has steadily been building a pipeline from IMG to Coral Gables and Jiles is only the latest to choose the Canes.

Also, considering Jiles has a few years before he can enroll in college, the task for Miami in his recruitment is to keep him secured and fight off the typical foes who dip into IMG Academy on a yearly basis.

What a great way for Miami to begin building its 2026 recruiting class!
