Video & Analysis: Jim Harbaugh Lauds Ronnie Bell, Calls Out "Fan" For Trashing The Receiver

Jim Harbaugh praised Ronnie Bell and defended his sophomore receiver after unwarranted criticism.

Sophomore wide receiver Ronnie Bell had a solid game against Penn State that really could've been special. He had a tipped touchdown reception taken away because of an ineligible receiver downfield and, most notably, dropped a sure touchdown catch that would've tied the game with less than two minutes to play.

As always, clowns who call themselves fans took to Twitter after the game with words for Bell that should never be uttered. Harbaugh used his platform to tell everyone exactly how he feels about Connor Grady, an apparent U-M graduate who trashed Bell for the drop.

Brown's Breakdown

I'm not sure what it is about Twitter that brings the worst out of people in situations like this. Bell was in tears on the sidelines after the drop and no one wants to redo that play more than him. I see nothing wrong with talking about the play and calling it a disappointing drop but there's absolutely no need for hurtful and abusive words. Period.

Harbaugh calling that guy an idiot is too nice, in my opinion. Bell's dad even addressed the situation in a very polite manner, which I'm sure was hard to do. At the end of the day, these are young men giving their all for their school. I have no problem breaking down their performances and offering up criticism, but there is no place for language like that or ignorant bashing.
