Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio has brought three Big Ten titles to East Lansing and had the Spartans in the College Football Playoff a few years ago. This year, his team is struggling to get to .500 and he may be on his way out.

In 2014, Michigan traveled to East Lansing and Spartan fans all around the stadium were openly campaigning for Brady Hoke to stay on as head coach for another year. Now, the tables have turned and U-M fans are hoping and wishing that Dantonio isn't done as the head coach of Michigan State.

Michael Spath from Inside the Huddle on WTKA 1050 in Ann Arbor asked Michigan fans across Twitter if they want Dantonio's run in East Lansing to end after this season and the results were fitting given how things ended for Hoke and for how Sparty's season is shaping up.

With more than 1,200 votes in by 3 pm, 59 percent of Michigan fans want Dantonio to stay as Michigan State's head coach. With a 6-6 finish looking very likely and a decline in the years to come, it's not surprising.

The Spartans are not recruiting well, have no idea what to do on offense and are in the midst of a PED scandal with its senior captain linebacker Joe Bachie. Throw in a rash of injuries, horrible losses and out-of-place assistant coaches and you have the formula for disaster, especially if Dantonio stays on board.

Michael, myself and Zach Shaw of 247 Sports discussed this topi in depth earlier today and we all had slightly different views on what we think will happen and what we want to see.
