The Michigan hockey team went 0-1-1 in its opening weekend of play. There was good (goalie play) and bad (lack of offense). Third-year head coach Mel Pearson shares his thoughts on U-M's first series of the season.
The Wolverines tied Clarkson 1-1 on Friday night and fell 3-1 on Saturday. Sophomore goalie Strauss Mann stopped 56 of 60 shots (.933 save percentage) and the defense looked outstanding. However, the offense netted just two goals and Michigan went 1 for 12 on the power play
