EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State baseball senior Bo Felt was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week by the conference office on Monday after leading the Spartans to a series win against Illinois over the weekend. The outfielder hit .545 and slugged 1.455 in the series, combining for an OPS of 2.000. He also scored five runs and drove in eight over three games, including a three-hit, four-RBI performance on Saturday in which he doubled and homered in MSU’s 16-1 win. Felt went deep in all three conference games last week, marking his first long balls of the season. He raised his batting average by 20 points and helped Michigan State climb back into a tie for first in the Big Ten standings.
It was Felt’s first career Player of the Week honor and the first for a Spartan since Jonathan Roof garnered the award Feb. 22.
