Michigan State to Play at Louisville in Big Ten/ACC Challenge

East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State’s men’s basketball team will play at Louisville on Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the 2018 Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Tip time and television designation will be announced at a later date. ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise all 14 games of the event.

This will be the 11th all-time meeting between the Spartans and the Cardinals, with each team winning five games. The last time the teams played was on Dec. 2, 2015, a 71-67 MSU win at the Breslin Center. MSU is 0-2 in games played in Louisville, last playing there in 1995.

Overall, MSU is 8-10 in ACC/Big Ten Challenge history. Last year, the ACC captured the Commissioner’s Cup, winning the challenge, 11-3. The Big Ten won the challenge by an 8-6 count in both 2014 and 2015. The two conferences split the challenge in 2012 and 2013 following three-straight wins for the Big Ten (2009-11). The ACC captured the first 10 challenges.
