The #1 team in America is right here in East Lansing and of course we are talking about the Michigan State Spartans and their Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo.

Tom Izzo was blessed to land one of America's best players in Joey Hauser who transferred to Michigan State this past off season.  Izzo said of Hauser and waiting on the NCAA to declare him eligible to play or not, "I told you guys the preliminary stuff that I got, it didn't look good. Then as you go through and see some of these people and how they're getting them, what's going on, it's out of my hands. Do I think I'll know something by this week? 100 percent. It seems like everything is trailing down to now. Yeah, I think before the season starts way for sure. I even think -- I mean, we have a couple of events coming up maybe that I don't know if I'll know, but I think I will know shortly. And what that does is that gives us some experience at that position a little bit more, but if not, we're going to move on and find a way to fix it anyway."

The Spartans kick off the season on October 29, in an exhibition contest against Albion and the season officially kicks off November 5 at 9:30 PM in New York. The Spartans will be taking on the Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic. No doubt that the nation’s attention is already looking at the critical first game of the year heavyweight fight.
