WATCH: Tom Izzo snaps whiteboard in half, jokes about it postgame following win over USC

Add another classic Izzo moment to the collection...

Michigan State men's basketball coach Tom Izzo improved to 54-23 overall and 19-6 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament when his Spartans defeated USC, 72-62, on Friday afternoon.

While MSU led the majority of the way, the game wasn't without its stressful moments for Izzo.

One such moment came with 11:30 left in the game after an offensive foul was called on Spartan senior Malik Hall. Izzo, and the majority of Michigan State's social media followers, believed USC's Boogie Ellis should have been called for a 'flop' on the play.

Instead, the ball went over to the Trojans. Izzo gave the officials a piece of his mind during the next media timeout, and then THIS happened:

"We are down one whiteboard"

After the game, Izzo was asked about the moment during an on-court interview with CBS after the Spartans' advanced:

"These are harder to break" 🤣

Izzo's jokes didn't end there either, as he shared a laugh about breaking the whiteboard with the assembled media at his postgame press conference as well:

Izzo on snapping a whiteboard in half: “A guy with my strength just went to write on the whiteboard with a pen and it snapped in half.” 😂

“It felt good,” he noted.
