To the Victor Goes the Spoils! Dantonio Add Thirteenth Commitment for 2010 with Big Time Georgia Star!

Fresh off the heels of a second victory over arch nemesis Michigan, Mark Dantonio added a big time playmaker to the Spartans 2010 recruiting class. Keith Mumphery is a 6’1” 200 pound WR from Vienna, Georgia. This big time wide out is big bodied, strong and very fast running a 4.4.

He had narrowed his list of school choices down to three with Nebraska, Arkansas and Michigan State. Mumphery was in East Lansing this past weekend to witness a big MSU win over Michigan in which the Spartan Nation was nothing short of phenomenal in the stands. According to a school administrator, “He was blown away by the atmosphere.”

Another quality is that he carries nearly a 4.0 in school and is heavily involved in the community. “He is a super young man, and as good of a person as he is a student and football player,” was one superlative that a school administrators told Spartan Nation.

Mumphery has great hands and uses his body in space tremendously. What sticks out even more? He is physical and committed to blocking downfield which works hand in hand with the Spartan type approach to their scheme.

Mumphery is so physical that some think he could play safety or possibly even cornerback at the next level. Mark Dantonio has stated before, “It is good to get guys that can do both. It just adds to depth and makes each player more of a threat to get on the field.” Wherever he plays, this great young man bring yet another weapon to the Spartan arsenal.
