BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - Michigan State sophomore center Allyssa DeHaan registered a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, as the USA Womenâ€™s U19 Team defeated the Czech Republic, 85-66, in the World Championship quarterfinals on Friday. DeHaan led all players in the game with her 11 rebounds in addition to her five blocks. DeHaanâ€™s previous scoring high in the tournament came against South Korea, when she scored seven points. The Grandville, Mich., native scored her 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field while going 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
With the win, the USA advances to the semifinals with a perfect 7-0 record to take on Spain Saturday, Aug. 4. Earlier in the tournament, the USA defeated Spain, 74-66, in second-round pool play.
