Inkster, the best 1-8 team in the state

Jeffrey Cottrell

If you haven't heard, one of the top Division 4 teams, Inkster, had to forfeit eight of their wins. Like Flint Southwestern, they had an inelgable player on their team. He is a transfer student from Liberia and is 20 years old. MHSAA rules stipulate that you cannot be over 18 years old on September 1. I feel for these guys and their coaches, but the rules are there for a reason. Not to trash these guys because I know the hard work that goes into being a player and how hard us coaches work to get our players in a position to win the games, but rules are rules. Even when they make us angry, the rules are there to protect our kids.

Inkster, in my opinion, had an undefeated season. With that said, they will not make the playoffs and officially have a 1-8 record.
