Lions make some changes to the roster today:

The Lions today continued to bolster their roster.Â

  1. The Lions released WR Craphonso Thorpe.
  2. They wasted no time in adding CB Ike Charlton (6’, 195) who was a trying out at the last OTA. He played in the NFL for four seasons and spent that last two campaigns in the CFL for the Winnepeg Bombers.
  3. They also added another CB in Tony Beckham. He is 6-1 and also weighs 195. He also used the last Lions OTA as a tryout and he comes to the D after playing for Tennessee from 02-05 and he as out of football last season.
  4. Finally the Lions added a WR in Kevn Kasper. He is a familiar name having played two games for the Lions last season.

None of the moves are earth shattering but they will add some depth with camps coming up and will allow these guys a chance to compete for a job.
