Danny Hope is looking to rebound from an injury plagued season at Purdue, and he was the third coach to take the stage today.  Here are the highlights from his presser:

ON THE UNIQUE CHARACTER OF HIS TEAM:

“We return a young, but experienced team.”

ON THE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:

“I like the idea of playing in Indianapolis, because it’s right down the road from West Lafeyette.”

ON QUARTERBACKS:

“A lot of people talk about our QB situation, saying that if you don’t have a star you don’t have a quarterback.”

“We feel that we are in a good position at that position.”

“This year I’m really excited about the quarterback position because we have guys who have played, have won, and have done well.”

“It’s very likely that we’ll use a two quarterback system in the fall.”

“We had a plan last year to use a 2 quarterback system some.  It won’t be the bread and butter of our offense, but it is part of the plan.”

ON COACHING IN THE BIG TEN:

“Coaching is coaching. 11 guys on the field, and the field is the same size no matter what level you are at.”

“Doesn’t take long to get past the lights and the excitement and just get down to coaching.”

ON INJURIES:

“I think we’re in good shape right now from a health standpoint.”

“Robert Marve is where he needs to be right now, and Ralph Bolden will be back.”

ON CARSON WIGGS:

“He's a great football player that's trapped with a kicker's leg.”
