Tigers take care of business in 13 innings!
Â
Yes I got home at 3 a.m. and yes it was a long game last night at Comerica, but want to hear a secret? It was worth it.Â

Â
Curtis Granderson was four of seven and Todd Jones and Rodney pitched 5 scoreless innings of relief to give the Tigers their 41st win of the season and Jones his first win.

Â
Star rookie phenom Justin Verlander pitched good enough to win but left with a 3-1 deficit and the the Tigers just never quit. “I have preached since spring training that we play all nine innings, tonight we played a few more but that is what gave us the win,” said Tigers Skipper Jim Leyland after the game.

Â
“You know we just battle, we don’t quit and that is why this club wins games,” is what Verlander told me after the game.

Â
The Tigers remain ahead of the White Sox and still posses the best record in baseball!

Â
Rock Star atmosphere for Tiger as he practices! Â
