GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 17 Michigan State women’s golf team shot a 323 in Sunday’s final round to place 11th at the Bryan National Collegiate with a total score of 930 (305-302-323). The elite 17-team tournament, which featured 13 schools ranked in the Golfweek Top 50, was held at the Bryan Park Champions Course.

Sophomore Caroline Powers led the Spartans by tying for 21st with a 13-over 229 (74-75-80). Junior Lindsey Solberg also placed in the top 30, carding a 231 (76-76-80) for the tournament to tie for 28th.

Senior Aimee Neff was just one shot behind Solberg and closed out with a 232 (74-78-80), tying for 34th.

Natalie Brehm and Christine Meier each shot rounds of 83 on Sunday. Brehm carded a 242 (81-78-83) for the tournament, while Meier finished at 243 (86-74-83).

No. 14 Wake Forest claimed the team title with a 31-over 895 (294-295-306).

The Michigan State women’s golf team returns to action April 1-3 for the Liz Murphey Invitational in Athens, Ga.
