Good, Bad, and Ugly Podcast Covering Michigan State Athletics Episode X

Let's take a deep-dive in Michigan State athletics with our latest episode of the Good, Bad and Ugly podcast featuring Chuck Grenier.

Chuck Grenier, the legendary state of Michigan high school football and basketball coach joins Spartan Nation to discuss the latest news surrounding Michigan State's athletic department.

The Big Ten decided to postpone fall sports, including football, and Grenier believes the conference should have tried to play the 2020 season.

Instead, rumors of B1G football being played in the spring started floating around, and as of now, we've heard start dates in October, November, and January.

One thing is clear, nothing is set in stone, and it would be challenging to play two football seasons in one calendar year.

How will scholarships and eligibility continue to work with the potential overlap?

The NCAA Division I board of directors awarded an extra year of eligibility to fall sport student-athletes. They will complete the process through a blanket waiver; however, further details are required.

Grenier says it could be a financial "nightmare" if the league doesn't bring football back, considering the money each university will already lose and the financial pressure that additional scholarships put on the schools.
