In the same day that a coach was suspended, a player has been removed from the Nebraska women's basketball roster.

An NU spokesman confirmed to KLIN that Ashley Scoggin had been removed from the roster. Hours earlier, NU announced that associate head coach Chuck Love had been suspended.

Scoggin was not with the team Thursday at Penn State, officially deemed "not available". In the media release for Sunday's game with Minnesota, she was left off the roster.

Scoggin does not appear on the roster at Huskers.com.

The Oregon native started the first 25 games of the season for Nebraska. She was averaging 8.4 points and 1.4 assists a game while being one of the team's best shooters from 3.

The removal of Scoggin means Humphrey, Nebraska, native Allison Weidner, who got the start in Scoggin's place Thursday, is in line for an expanded role.
