Nebraska and Creighton men’s basketball are set to match up again in 2021-22, but this time in a slightly different format.

The Huskers and Bluejays will meet in Lincoln for the 2021 Gavitt Tipoff Games on Nov. 16, the earliest the nonconference matchup has taken place in series history. The game will be televised nationally on FS1 or BTN with the start time to be announced later.

Creighton has hosted and won the last two games in the series. The last time the two teams met in Lincoln, Nebraska won 95-75 on Dec. 8, 2018. This season will mark the first November meeting since the 2008-09 season.

Nebraska is 1-2 all-time in Gavitt Tipoff Games, beating Seton Hall at home in 2018 with losses coming on the road to Villanova (2015) and St. John’s (2017).

The only other game announced on the Huskers’ schedule is a home contest with Kansas State slated for December 19.
