Homecoming weekend got off to an impressive start for No. 12 Nebraska volleyball, and especially for three-time All-American Lauren Stivrins, who made her season debut.

Stivrins got the start and made the most of it. She hit a ridiculous .733 for a match-high 11 kills. Stivrins had missed the first 11 matches of the season while rehabbing from back surgery.

With the debut of one of the nation’s top weapons, the Huskers easily handled Michigan with a 25-14, 15, 13 sweep.

Joining Stivrins in double digits was Madi Kubik, who racked up 11 kills on .455 hitting. Kayla Caffey (.583) and Ally Batenhorst (.348) each added eight kills.
