Top Offensive Tackle Fisher Anderson Wraps Up Official Visits

The four-star prospect from Tennessee spent his June seeing Northwestern, Virginia, North Carolina and Stanford.

Franklin High School (Franklin, Tenn.) offensive tackle Fisher Anderson wrapped up his official visits last week and has not indicated when he will make his final commitment decision. However, Northwestern is certainly in the running to be a landing spot for one of the country’s top offensive tackles.

After flying under the radar at the start of his freshman year, the 6-7, 270-pound four-star prospect exploded onto the scene during his sophomore and junior seasons. Anderson is a consensus 4-star rated prospect at offensive tackle.

Anderson holds offers from nearly 30 schools including Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Oregon, but he has turned his attention toward four schools. Anderson took an unofficial visit to Evanston in May before spending his first official visit at Northwestern in early June. Since then he has visited Virginia, North Carolina and Stanford, and he does not have a fifth visit scheduled. The athlete has a 4.5 GPA and has signaled that academics are incredibly important to him.

Anderson has repeatedly demonstrated the ability to drive back defenders, and he has quick feet and decent speed for someone of his size. In 2019, Anderson also experimented playing at defensive tackle in an effort to better understand the other side of the ball.

Anderson's breakout season in 2020 earned him a position on the Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-State Class 6A in 2020. In addition to his contributions on the football field, Anderson was also a first-year member of Franklin’s wrestling team in 2020, earning a seventh place finish in the state tournament.

Anderson does not have a crystal ball projection at this time.
