If the latest bowl projections from ESPN hold up, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will get a chance to play an opponent from each of the Power 5 conferences by the time the season is completed.

Notre Dame plays five ACC opponents in 2019, and either has faced or will face a team from the SEC (Georgia), Big Ten (Michigan) and two from the Pac 12 (Stanford, USC).

According to both ESPN projections, the Irish will take on a Big 12 opponent in the Camping World Bowl.

Kyle Bonagura has Notre Dame set to take on Texas, while Mark Schlabach projects the Irish to take on Oklahoma State.

Texas improved to 6-3 after a hard-fought victory over previously No. 16-ranked Kansas State. The Longhorns fell behind 14-0 before rallying for a 27-24 victory.

Notre Dame holds a 9-3 all-time record advantage over the Longhorns after splitting a home-and-home in 2015 and 2016. The Irish beat Texas 38-3 in Notre Dame Stadium to kick off the 2015 season, but the Longhorns got redemption with a 50-47 overtime victory on their home field to kick off the 2016 campaign.

Oklahoma State was off this past weekend, but it improved to 6-3 in the two weeks prior thanks to back-to-back 34-27 victories, with the first coming on the road over Iowa State and the second at home against TCU.

Notre Dame and Oklahoma State have never played in football.
