Notre Dame/Georgia Tech Game Gets Moved

Bryan Driskell

According to the Georgia Tech football twitter page, the Notre Dame/Georgia Tech game will now be played on campus.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Nov. 14, 2020 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the Atlanta Falcons. It will now be played at Bobby Dodd Stadium, which is on the campus of Georgia Tech.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and AD Jack Swarbrick had previously discussed a desire to have all games moved to campuses and away from NFL stadiums. With this decision, the only remaining game on the schedule set for a NFL Stadium is the road contest against Pittsburgh.

The Panthers, of course, don't have an on campus stadium and play all of their home games at Heinz Field, which is also home to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Notre Dame has yet to announce its 11th opponent and the dates and start times for its new schedule have yet to be released.
