Notre Dame Has Made The Cut For Four-Star Offensive Lineman
Notre Dame already has a 2022 offensive line commitment from Indiana OT/OG **Joey Tanona**. Another top 2022 target for Offensive Line Coach **Jeff Quinn** is Fond Du Lac (Wi.) High School OG **Billy Schrauth**.
Tonight, Schrauth cut his list down to four schools, which included the Irish along with Wisconsin, Ohio State, and Michigan. The two-way standout is one of the better interior players in this class.
Rivals ranks him as the nation's 104th best player and 247Sports ranks Schrauth as the nation's 139th overall player. ESPN also has him as the 239th overall player in the 2022 class.
Schrauth has a strong early offer list from schools including Notre Dame, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan, Penn State, Stanford, Iowa, Arizona State, Tennesee, Northwestern, Nebraska, Mississippi State, and others.
The Wisconsin OG has impressive size at the position, coming in at 6-5 285 pounds as a junior in high school. He's a mauler in the run game and is very agile inside at both OG/DT. While Notre Dame has stacked up on a lot of guard type players in the 2021 class and so far in the 2022 class, Schrauth is just too good not to take.
Taking the best players from Wisconsin out of the state has been difficult for all schools including Notre Dame, so this would be an impressive get for Coach Jeff Quinn.
