In the last week, rumors have turned to reality for the 2020 running backs, in which the Buckeyes were recruiting.

After being in a good position with Bijan Robinson and Jaylan Knighton, Ohio State wasn’t able to reel in either prospect. Texas and Florida State received verbal pledges from those two, leaving Buckeyes with a choice to make in the 2020 class. Also, must mention it isn’t time to panic. 

Inevitably, Ohio State must take a running back in 2020. And, one route they can go is trying to flip Arizona State Commit Deamonte Trayanum.

The four star back out of powerhouse Akron Hoban had a good relationship with Ohio State, but an even better with Arizona State. Now, it could be an option for Ohio State to try to improve that relationship.

According to 247 sports, DeaMonte is a four star, top 25 running back in the country. This isn’t to say the flip will happen, because those are always tough. But, the door should be kept open  

Trayanum is a very talented back, that has some versatility. Breakaway speed is there, and he would be a future piece without a doubt. In these highlights, you get a feel for what the Ohio back can do.
