KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- While there is no rush in Jojo Trader's recruiting process, there are milestone points ahead for the five-star South Florida wide receiver recruit.

He worked out at wideout and defensive back over the weekend at the Overtime OT7 East regional tournament in the Orlando area, making plays aplenty in the process. He joked about the media expecting him at the Ohio State Buckeyes spring game with prep and club teammate Jeremiah Smith, who did make it back to Columbus.

Buckeyes fans shouldn't read too much into it, Trader says, as Smith is still pushing him to join the hottest recruiting class in the country.

"Jeremiah, he says, 'you can come and help us take over,' Trader said.

The duo, which helped Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna to a state championship last fall as perhaps the top wide receiver tandem at that level, each has strong connections to Brian Hartline and the program overall.

Trader says the offensive coordinator's wide receiver reputation isn't an accident.

"It's his coaching, he does the work," he said of Hartline. "I've seen drills with him, actually, and it's helped with me."

Ohio State will get the five-star back on campus at least once more before all is said and done in the recruitment, and it will be for an official visit. Logistics still have to be confirmed, but the rising senior is in no rush to make a final call between OSU, Miami, Florida, Florida State, and many others in the race.

"I'm still waiting," Trader said. "After the season, I'm going to commit."

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect is considered a top 10 overall recruit on two major recruiting outlets.
