OU/Texas Post-Game Report.

3 points. That’s all Texas was able to manage in the first half against this new-and-improved defense.

The defense was hungry and it showed. The Sooners totaled 4 sacks in the first half and they didn’t slow down in the second half, either. With 5 more after the half, they ended with nine, yes, nine sacks today. This was the major difference in the game today.

The games final score was 34-27, which was closer than what the game should have been. The Sooner left points on the field. With an interception in the endzone, and a fumble inside the Longhorn 20, the game should have been put away by halftime.

However, the offense was saved by CeeDee Lamb and his Biletnikoff winning moments. Lamb had 10 catches for 171 yards and 3 touchdowns. The plays he made had to be seen twice to believe.

The running game for the Sooners got going in the second half. Lincoln only called for 10 rushing plays in the first half. The Sooners totaled 263 rushing yards and 235 yards through the air. Jalen Hurts was 16/28 for 235 yards passing and rushed for 121 yards on the ground. The Heisman is still within grasp!

Sooners head back home next week to face West Virginia at 11am on FOX.
