The Sooners played well during the first half. The offense was efficient as Jalen Hurts only had 1 incompletion, going 11-12 for 190 yards and 2 TDs. Hurts also had 8 carries for 64 yards and a TD on the ground.

The ground attack was working for OU as they amassed 118 yards on 17 attempts. Kennedy Brooks got it going on the ground with 54 yards and a touchdown.

A week after the dominant performance against Texas, how would the defense fair against former Sooner QB, Austin Kendall?

Kendall finished the first half 13/22 for 129 yards and 2 TDs. The WVU offense never was able to get in a rhythm until the last drive of the half. The dropped passes, pass break ups, and pressure applied by the d-line made it tough for Mountaineers to get much going.

Tre Brown had himself a big first half. Although he had a pass interference call late in the second quarter, he played well and broke up several big pass attempts.

The biggest story may be the Sooner Schooner tipping over after an OU score. Boomer and Sooner and everyone in the Schooner are ok. Will they be able to repair it for the second half?

TBD.
