STILLWATER -- We're 11 days away from Mike Boynton and Co. from restarting their 2020 recruiting class. Consensus four-star shooting guard Rondel Walker took to Twitter to announce that he'll be announcing his commitment on Halloween following Putnam City West's Blue and Gold game, which is set to begin at 4 p.m.

Walker narrowed his list of 13 offers down to just five on Sept. 5, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Kansas State, Texas and Virginia Tech.

Should Walker commit to the Pokes, he'd be the first commitment in the 2020 class and replace point guard Davonte Davis who decommitted back on Oct. 1. Davis committed to Arkansas shortly thereafter.

Walker, a 6-2, 160-pound shooting guard in the 2020 class, and is also listed as a consensus national top-100 prospect. Oklahoma State was the first to offer Walker back on June 19, 2017 and have been heavily invested ever since.

In fact, Walker's been to Stillwater several times over the past few years and was in Stillwater less than a month ago on his official visit. That was also the same weekend that he announced his top five.

Walker is a talented guard in this class and would easily fit into Mike Boynton's system should he commit to the Pokes. There's no doubt that wherever he goes, he'll need to put on some weight, but Oklahoma State strength and conditioning coach Jake Manzelmann has proven that that's not an issue.

He's put close to 15 pounds on forward Kalib Boone and 25 pounds on guard/forward Keylan Boone in roughly four month's time.

Walker's value grew over the summer as he helped his AAU team, Texas Titans, win the coveted Nike's EYBL Peach Jam over the summer. Teammates with current five-star, and top Oklahoma State prospect Cade Cunningham, Walker averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and four assists per game. Something that Cowboy fans have gotten used to, he also shot 45 percent from beyond the three-point line.

Walker's ranked as the 90th overall prospect in the 2020 class, the No. 17th overall shooting guard and the No. 2 overall prospect from Oklahoma according to the 247Sports Composite.
