Kolby Harvell-Peel Earns Third Big 12 Weekly Honor

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State safety Kolby Harvell-Peel earned his third overall and second consecutive Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week recognition on Monday following OSU’s 31-13 win over Kansas.

The sophomore safety recorded two interceptions in the game and now ranks No. 3 in the FBS in passes defended this season. He was also credited with a pass break up and three tackles against KU.

Harvell-Peel is responsible for five turnovers in the past two games. He has been credited with seven turnovers this season, including five interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He has also forced two fumbles and leads all OSU defensive backs with 60 total tackles on the year.

This week’s player of the week honor marks the third of the season for Harvell-Peel, as he was also honored for his performances against Texas and TCU. It marks Oklahoma State’s ninth weekly conference honor of the season.
