Five impact players for Oklahoma State vs. Baylor

Spencer Sanders is entering his sixth start of his young career at Oklahoma State and will be looking to overcome some struggles he experienced against Texas Tech.

With it being Homecoming, Oklahoma State is wearing a special helmet honoring the Cowboys teams of the 1970's.

Pregame:

-Baylor has won the toss and deferred to the second half. Oklahoma State to receive the opening kick in the East end zone.

First quarter:

-An OSU punt leads to a three play drive and a Baylor touchdown (12:06) Oklahoma State trails 7-0.

TOUCHDOWN! Spencer Sanders finds Jordan McCray in the back of the end zone for the score! (6:37) Oklahoma State trails 7-6 after Baylor blocked the extra point.

FUMBLE! Malcolm Rodriguez strips the ball away from JaMycal Hasty after an 18 yard gain! First down Oklahoma State from their own 43-yard line!

END OF THE FIRST QUARTER:

It was a rather back and forth first quarter for both teams. Oklahoma State enters the second quarter trailing 7-6. Quarterback Spencer Sanders is 7-of-11 for 44 yards and one touchdown, while running back Chuba Hubbard has seven carries for 44 yards.

There were really two highlights of the first quarter that you can watch above: Sanders' fade to McCray in the end zone and Malcolm Rodriguez's strip and fumble recovery.

Following the strip, the Cowboy defense has shown new life as they've held Baylor to just two yards on this drive. It's 3rd and 8 from the Baylor 15-yard line.

Second quarter:

SACK! Jayden Jernigan with the stop forcing a Baylor punt! 1st and 10 from the OSU 41-yard line after the fair catch.

SACK! Trace Ford starts the tackle and it's finished by Mike Scott! 4th and 3624 for the Bears from their own seven-yard line! 1st and 10 for the Pokes from the Baylor 46-yard line.

TOUCHDOWN! Chuba Hubbard finds the end zone from two-yards out (4:15) Oklahoma State leads 13-7 after a made Ammendola extra point!

Spencer Sanders: 13-of-21 for 97 yards, one touchdown and one interception

Chuba Hubbard: 13 carries for 87 yards and one touchdown

Jelani Woods: Five receptions for 38 yards.

Third quarter:

Baylor receives the opening kick. Oklahoma State forces another Baylor punt. 1st and 10 following a 22-yard return from the OSU 40-yard line.

WOW! After a rather uninspired opening set of downs for the Pokes, punter Tom Hutton hits Dayton Metcalf for 20-yards and the first down!

TOUCHDOWN! Chuba Hubbard gets back into the end zone from three yards out (9:35) Oklahoma State leads 20-10!

Touchdown: Hasty gets into the end zone from five yards out for the score (8:42) OSU leads 20-17.

Touchdown: Brewer finds Fleeks for 64-yards and the score (2:36) OSU now trails 24-20. A couple of defensive breakdowns and Baylor's back in the lead. Let's see if the OSU offense can respond.

END OF THE THIRD QUARTER

Baylor scores two third quarter touchdowns to take the lead back 24-20. It wasn't a great quarter for the Pokes as the offense couldn't get anything going other than an early touchdown by Hubbard, and the defense couldn't stay off the field.

The two touchdowns from Baylor were on big time drives by Charlie Brewer and were aided by a couple of OSU penalties.

The highlight of the quarter was a fourth down fake punt pass by Tom Hutton to Dayton Metcalf that went for 20 yards leading to the three-yard touchdown by Chuba Hubbard.

Spencer Sanders: 16-26 for 140 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Chuba Hubbard: 22 carries for 107 yards and two touchdown.

Touchdown: Baylor with the scoop and score after the fumble by Spencer Sanders (8:00) OSU trails 38-27.

Turnover on downs for OSU, Sanders' pass intended for Wallace was broken up in the end zone. 1st and 10 Baylor.

Touchdown: Hasty takes one play, 73-yards to the end zone (5:13) OSU trails 45-27.

To make matters worse, on the ensuing drive, Sanders suffered his second fumble of the day.
