Jaxson Dart to Represent Ole Miss at 2023 Manning Passing Academy

The Rebels quarterback will be a camp counselor at this year's installment of the academy.

Ole Miss Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart will continue his school's Manning legacy as a camp counselor at this year's Manning Passing Academy. The Rebels made the announcement on Thursday on social media.

Dart is the incumbent starting quarterback for Ole Miss this season and seems to have a leg up in the quarterback race after a successful spring. Head coach Lane Kiffin also acquired two signal callers out of the transfer portal in Spencer Sanders (Oklahoma State) and Walker Howard (LSU) this offseason.

All three quarterbacks got the opportunity to play in the 2023 Grove Bowl and each flashed high-level potential, but Dart came away with the best stat line as a passer. Dart finished spring practices with only one recorded interception, positing improved pocket presence and decision-making.

Like the name suggests, the Manning Passing Academy is hosted each year in Louisiana by the Manning family, putting on a football camp that works with quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers and tight ends. NFL and college quarterbacks have also been known to play a part in the camp since its inception.

This year's camp runs from June 22-25, and it is hosted at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
