LOOK: Ole Miss RB Zach Evans Impresses With 40-Yard Dash Time

The Rebels hosted their annual Pro Day on Wednesday, and Zach Evans showed off his speed during the drills.

OXFORD, Miss. -- After an injury kept him from participating in drills at the NFL Combine earlier this year, Ole Miss Rebels running back Zach Evans showed off his speed at the team's annual Pro Day on Wednesday.

Evans was one of 11 Rebels who participated in the Pro Day event, and his 40-yard dash time was one of his most impressive feats. According to Ole Miss football, Evans recorded an unofficial time of 4.45 in the drill.

Below is a video from Evans' run as well.

As noted above, injuries hampered what looked to be a promising season for the Ole Miss back, and he eventually gave way as the No. 1 ballcarrier to rising-sophomore Quinshon Judkins. Still, Evans finished second on the team in rushing yards (936) and touchdowns (nine) in the 2022 season.

During his media availability on Wednesday, Evans stated that he has meetings in the near future scheduled with the Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets. This comes after Evans revealed teams he has already met with prior to the NFL Combine, including the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans.

Evans will be among those who hopes to hear his name called during the 2023 NFL Draft this spring. The draft begins on April 27 and runs through April 29.
