After suffering an apparent leg injury early in the game against Colorado, Oregon head coach Mario Cristobal announced that TE Jacob Breeland will miss the rest of the season.

Breeland had been the Ducks' leading pass-catcher so far this season with six touchdowns and an average of 15.6 yards per catch.

"He's a really good player, and I think nowadays, these injuries are very fixable," said Cristobal. "He'll come back and he'll train and he'll be ready to play for a very long time."

Midway through the first two quarters against Colorado, the Ducks saw injuries send two of their most important players to the locker room in Jacob Breeland and Jevon Holland.

Breeland eventually crutched to the locker room with a giant brace on his leg after going down on the Oregon sideline at the end of a 22-yard catch, and he has not returned. It was announced shortly after the injury that he would not come back to the game.

It was also announced on Monday that both Jevon Holland and Troy Dye are cleared to play this weekend against Washington.

In Breeland's stead, the Ducks will move receiver Spencer Webb back to the TE position, and they will also look to give Ryan Bay and Patrick Herbert more reps. The injury is a tough hit to the Oregon offense, which just recently got three of their top pass-catchers back in Juwan Johnson, Brenden Schooler, and Mycah Pittman. Luckily for the Ducks, they have supreme depth across the board, and they should be able to make up for Breeland's talent.
