Friday Night Lights are taking on a new look in Eugene this week, as the No. 13 Oregon Ducks (4-1, 2-0) take on the unranked Colorado Buffaloes (3-2, 1-1) at Autzen Stadium.

The Ducks have had a bad taste in their mouth since the last time they faced Colorado, back in 2016 at Autzen as well. As the Oregon program was traveling downhill quickly, the Buffs helped kick them towards rock bottom, upsetting Oregon 41-38. Since then, the Ducks have retooled and now have a different head coach at the helm in Mario Cristobal.

As for the Buffs, a couple of tough losses this season have them currently on the outside looking in when it comes to the Top-25, but don't let the record fool you; they are 10 points away from being an undefeated team.

The spread is quite large, but there's a chance that this could turn into a tough game for Oregon, though just about everyone expects them to come out on top when all is said and done.

After the Ducks saw their top pass-catchers return last week in Brenden Schooler, Juwan Johnson, and Mycah Pittman, they are surprisingly healthy. Running back CJ Verdell suffered an ankle injury early last week against Cal, but he is dressed and warming up ahead of the game on Friday night and was announced as the starting RB.

For Colorado, both WRs Laviska Shenault Jr. and K.D. Nixon are on the field for pregame warmups. DE Mustafa Johnson, who was a game-time decision coming into Friday night, will be held out.
