WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue is coming off of one of its most disappointing losses of the season, a 24-6 loss at home against Illinois in a game that was heavily effected by the weather. The loss dropped them to 2-6 on the season and just 1-4 in the Big Ten.

This week they remain at home to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Nebraska, who is coming off of a 38-31 loss to Indiana, sits at 4-4 on the season, and 2-3 in the Big Ten.

With Purdue needing to win each of its remaining games to become bowl eligible and Nebraska still two off of that mark, it will be an important game for both teams if they want to reach the six-win mark.

Purdue handled Nebraska in last season's meeting, winning 42-28 at Nebraska.

This year's matchup should be closer and less high scoring with both teams dealing with injuries, especially at several critical positions
