2020 Center Cliff Omoruyi Ready to Make 'Tough' Decision

Elite Center Cliff Omoruyi will decide between Auburn, Arizona State and Rutgers.

Cliff Omoruyi said getting his list of schools down to just three – Auburn, Arizona State and Rutgers – was “easy,” but conceded that picking one would be the hard part.

Now that he’s set a decision date for March 29, said hard work begins.

“It’s tough,” said Omoruyi, a senior at Roselle (N.J.) Catholic. “It wasn’t really hard to cut my list, but it will be hard to pick one. All three of the schools are great options for me.”

Omoruyi, a 6-foot-11 center from Nigeria, has already taken official visits to all three schools.

“I still talk to the coaches all the time,” Omoruyi said. “I know the players and I feel good about all three.”

This season, Omoruyi is averaging 16 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks a game.

He said he’d be taking a deep dive with his guardian into which school he’ll ultimately commit to.

When asked if he’s starting to get an idea of where he wants to go, Omoruyi said,” A little bit.”

“It’s hard because with all three schools I’m really familiar with the players and anywhere I go they’re gonna accept me as one.
