Notre Dame reportedly is 'pushing hard' for Stanford and Cal to join the ACC

One of Stanford's biggest rivals is pushing for their entry into the ACC

With the Pac-12 essentially evaporating in front of our eyes and just four schools remaining with hopes to land somewhere better, Stanford and Cal have some help in their efforts.

According to Rivals' Larry Williams, Notre Dame, who is considered a full voting member in the ACC, is 'pushing hard' for Stanford and Cal to be added to the ACC. The report comes a day after we learned that the ACC has not only vetted the two Pac-12 programs, but has also discussed possibly adding them with the members of the conference. We have also learned that the conference has discussed the possibility to add SMU

Stanford and Cal along with Washington State and Oregon State are the only programs in the Pac-12 that currently don't have a new conference to officially call home for the 2024 season. Oregon and Washington will be joining the Big Ten with USC and UCLA, while the four corner schools are joining the Big 12.

Stanford is expecting to have some sort of direction by the end of this week per ESPN
