Men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim said on a podcast on ESPN he does not understand why Ivy League schools are not allowing athletes an extra year of eligibility with the circumstances the coronavirus has brought on.

Boeheim's son, Jimmy Boeheim, who is a senior on Cornell's basketball team, must decide if he wants to play another year and transfer out of the Ivy League or not play at all.

The Ivy League has suspended all fall competition, which means if there were basketball, it could be a much condensed season in the winter. Boeheim doesn't seem to have much hope.
