The Texas A&M men's basketball team has already had at least a couple of statement wins this season with wins over Mizzou and Auburn. Coach Buzz Williams has his team ready to play each night whether it's on the road or in the friendly confines of Reed Arena in College Station.

After a 7-5 start in non-conference play, the Aggies are 15-6 overall and 7-1 in SEC play, with their sole loss to Kentucky back on Jan. 21 at Rupp Arena.

Other teams in the SEC are noticing the rise of the Aggies, and now, so are the voters. A&M received 16 votes for the top 25 in the poll that came out on Monday, the first time all season the Aggies showed up on the "others receiving votes" list.

It just means the Aggies are catching up to other conference foes.

Auburn slid 10 spots down to No. 25 this week after a 79-63 beatdown by the Aggies on Jan. 25 at Neville Arena.

Leading the way for the Aggies this season is sophomore guard Wade Taylor IV, who is averaging 14.8 points, 4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. All are team highs. Junior forward Henry Coleman III leads the way in boards with 5.8 per contest.

A&M's next test will come against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Tuesday at Bud Walton Arena at 6 p.m. The game can be seen on ESPN2.
