COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M will have a chance to finish strong heading into the second half of the season. The Aggies (3-3, 1-2 SEC) fell to top-ranked Alabama over the weekend after another impressive performance from Tua Tagovailoa.

Games against Ole Miss Rebels, Mississippi State Bulldogs and UTSA Roadrunners could be competitive. Special teams will play a significant role in helping the team stay on a winning path.

The AP polls would tend to agree.

Texas A&M punter Braden Mann was named to the AP's first-team All-American roster at the mid-point of the 2019 season. The Aggies top guy took home the Ray Guy Award last season and was named to the list as well.

Since arriving in College Station, it's been hard to find a more consistent punter that Mann. Last season, the Houston product averaged 51 yards per punt, collecting 2,549 total yards through the air. Although his numbers have diminished, the senior is still averaging 48.6 yards per punt.

Other names from the Southeastern Conference on the first-team include Joe Burrow (LSU), Andrew Thomas (Georgia), Lynn Bowden Jr. (Kentucky), Derrick Brown (Auburn), Derek Singletary (LSU) and Grant Delpit (LSU).

The Aggies will face Ole Miss in Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium on Saturday, October 19. The game will be featured on SEC Network.
