Under head coach Jimbo Fisher, the Aggies recruiting momentum is hitting full force, and as a result, the Aggies are in the mix for some of the top names around the country, each of whom wants to take a hard look at the makings of what Fisher is building in College Station.

AUGUST 24 UPDATE
Arguably the top offensive prospect left on the board for many programs, Longview (Texas) High School wide receiver Jalen Hale has revealed a new commitment date - September 21.
Sports Illustrated's John Garcia was first to report his new date before Hale mentioned Texas A&M as a finalist in addition to Texas, Alabama and Georgia, contrary to reports of the Aggies being out of the mix.
Standing 6-2 and weighing 175 pounds, Hale is a three-sport athlete in basketball, football, and track, running a blazing fast 22.68 200-meter dash as a sophomore in 2020.
In his junior season on the football field, Hale has named a first-team District 7-5A selection, hauling in 50 catches for 1,154 yards and 14 touchdowns. For his career, he has 96 catches for 2,017 yards and 27 touchdowns in three varsity seasons.
Hale checks in as the No. 50 overall recruit in the class of 2023.
AUGUST 8 UPDATE
Elite Fort Lauderdale (FL) WR Hykeem Williams is set to announce his commitment on September 23rd, and the Aggies are in contention.
Williams will decide between Texas A&M, Pitt, FSU, Georgia, Miami, and Alabama.
Williams was most recently in College Station (TX) for an unofficial visit on June 10th.
The Aggies have been trending favorably in this recruitment for some time.
The Aggies need an elite wide receiver presence in 2023 to go on top of their strong 2022 receiver haul. Williams would be that elite presence if he chooses the Aggies on September 23rd.
As a junior at Stranahan High School (Fort Lauderdale, FL), Williams caught 40 passes for 750 yards and 11 touchdowns.
AUGUST 6 UPDATE
One of the top wide receivers in the 2023 class, Catholic (Baton Rouge, LA) star Shelton Sampson Jr., has made his college decision... and he is heading to the SEC.
On Saturday, Sampson Jr. committed to the LSU Tigers, picking Brian Kelly's new-look program over the likes of Texas A&M, Alabama and Florida State.
Sampson has been on the Catholic varsity squad since his freshman season, helping to lead his team to a 33-4 record, with three state title appearances and two state championship wins in three seasons.
Sampson also held offers from Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Tennessee, among others.
AUGUST 4 UPDATE
David Hicks may be the top in-state target left on the board for Texas A&M football recruiting in the class of 2023. And while the Aggies have been hot on the trail, Hick maintains his patience in working towards a decision later this year.
Jimbo Fisher's program has been viewed as the team to beat for some time, and the on-field product is a big reason why. A&M's No. 1 class last cycle featured a bevy of defensive linemen recruits, so the sell is about the rising-senior being able to challenge for immediate playing time without being the focal point of the positional unit.
The off-field angle from A&M is still selling, too.
“Just everything about the school just really stands out very much,” Hicks told Chad Simmons.
As for that timeline, Hicks confirmed to Simmons he was still several months away from a decision. December or January could be announcement points for the Katy (Texas) Paetow star.
Hicks is also considering the likes of Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Miami, Michigan State and Oregon in addition to A&M.
AUGUST 3 UPDATE
Official offer day began August 1 and they have been rolled out and promoted via social media ever since.
For Texas A&M, red-hot on the recruiting trail after the big pool party over the weekend, was as busy as any program in the mix. Interestingly enough, official tenders were sent out to all Aggie commitments, but also some key recruits committed elsewhere that TAMU continues to push for.
Among them are LSU wide receiver commitment Jalen Brown, UCLA running back commitment Roderick Robinson II, South Carolina linebacker commitment Grayson Howard, Alabama defensive back commitment Tony Mitchell and others.
Mitchell, of course, was among the weekend visitors to College Station.
JULY 31 UPDATE
An elite wide receiver has included the Aggies in his final four group ahead of his commitment date.
Baton Rouge (LA) WR Shelton Sampson Jr. is down to four schools and has locked in a decision date of August 6th.
Along with Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, and Florida State made the cut.
Sampson was in College Station (TX) on July 30th for the Texas A&M pool party event.
Sampson will make his decision known precisely at 3:06 PM CT on August 6th.
The Baton Rouge native helped Catholic High School to back-to-back Louisiana Division 1 state championships .
JULY 25 UPDATE
A new name to know at quarterback to Texas A&M is Chris Parson.
The former Florida State commitment, who grew up in the Dallas area before moving to Tennessee last year, told Sports Illustrated's John Garcia, Jr. the Aggies made contact with him over the weekend.
Many programs have been in on the Elite 11 Finalist, who still has three official visits to take before his recruitment is over.
An Aggie offer has yet to materialize, but Parson could be next man up depending on top target Austin Novosad's final decision. The current Baylor commitment is considering A&M, Notre Dame and Ohio State along with the Bears.
JULY 20 UPDATE
An elite wide receiver has locked in a visit date to Texas A&M.
Baton Rouge (LA) Shelton Sampson Jr. will visit Texas A&M on July 30th.
July 30th is the date of the big Aggie pool party. Other top athletes will attend the pool party including Ryan (TX) LB Anthony Hill.
Sampson recently dropped his top six schools, and the Aggies are in the mix. Along with Texas A&M, Alabama, Michigan, LSU, Oregon, and Florida State are in contention for Sampson's signature.
JULY 19 UPDATE
An elite linebacker is down to seven schools with a decision date in mind, and the Aggies are in contention.
Baton Rouge (LA) LB Jaiden Ausberry dropped his final seven schools on Tuesday and has set a commitment date of August 4th.
Along with Texas A&M, LSU, Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida, and Auburn made the cut.
Ausberry took an official visit to College Station on June 17th. He took official visits to Michigan, Notre Dame, and Auburn as well.

JULY 16 UPDATE
One of the top offensive linemen in the state of Texas is down to five schools.
Austin (TX) OL T.J. Shanahan released his final five group on Saturday, and the Aggies are in the mix.
Along with Texas A&M, Texas, USC, Georgia, and LSU made the cut.
Shanahan is an Orlando (FL) native. He moved to Austin in the summer of 2021, where he attends Westlake High School.
Shanahan projects as an interior offensive lineman at the next level.
Shanahan recently took an official visit to College Station (TX) in June. The Aggies have been trending well in Shanahan's recruitment for some time.
If Shanahan were to commit to the Aggies, he would become the second offensive line commit in their 2023 recruiting class, joining Colton Thomasson.
JULY 14 UPDATE
Once Austin Novosad took a pause from his busy recruitment, thanks in part to the Elite 11 event to end the month of June followed by a recruiting dead period stretching until July 24, a new timeline would emerge.
Throw in a new offer from Notre Dame, and now four programs are in contention for a final decision from the current Baylor Bear commitment. A&M, BU, the Irish and Ohio State are the finalists for the Dripping Springs (Texas) High School star.
Notre Dame has yet to host him as a priority prospect, though there is a small window of opportunity at the end of July as the Irish host prospects two weekends from now. Novosad told SI All-American's John Garcia, Jr. he has not yet penciled in a visit, though he is vetting the Irish as much as possible after taking official visits to the three additional contenders.
Once looking like a late July decision-maker, Novosad could now stretch his recruitment just a bit longer to give the Irish its due diligence, he added. He originally picked Baylor back in December.
JULY 11 UPDATE
The Aggies remain in contention for one of the nation's top defensive backs.
Saint Louis (MO) safety Marvin Burks Jr. dropped his top five schools on Monday, and the Aggies are in the mix.
Along with Texas A&M, Missouri, LSU, Oklahoma, and Ole Miss made the cut.
Bruks released a top 15 in April which excluded Missouri, LSU, and Oklahoma. The trio of schools are new additions to his top group.
Burks recently tripped to College Station (TX) for an official visit. He has taken official visits to Ole Miss and Missouri as well.
JULY 9 UPDATE
The nation's top defensive back in the class of 2024 has included the Aggies in his top ten group.
Bradenton (FL) defensive back Desmond Ricks is down to ten schools, and the Aggies remain in the hunt.
Along with Texas A&M, LSU, Oregon, Miami, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, Florida, Jackson State, and Oklahoma made the cut.
Ricks has yet to visit Texas A&M.
The Virginia native transferred to IMG Academy in 2020.
Ricks is the number one defensive back in the class of 2024. He is likely the top non-quarterback in his class.
JULY 9 UPDATE
Texas A&M is in the mix for one of the top wide receiver recruits in the country.
Andy Jean, the Miami (Fla.) Northwestern star, announced his top five programs on Saturday via social media to commemorate his birthday.
In addition to A&M, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Miami made the cut for Jean, who de-committed from Miami program on March 30.
Jean has been busy of late on the visit front. Florida received the most recent official visit to date, taking place in late June. He was in College Station for an official visit earlier in the month, hosted by fellow wide receiver and Miami native Yulkeith Brown. Miami and Florida State also got him on campus in June.
As a junior, Jean led the Northwestern Bulls with more than 700 receiving yards and eight touchdowns to his name. He also excels as a sprinter on the varsity track and field circuit.
JULY 8 UPDATE
The Aggies lost out on another top passer in the 2023 class on Friday, when Martin Luther King (Detroit, MI) quarterback Dante Moore committed to the Oregon Ducks.
Moore picked the Ducks over offers from the Aggies and Notre Dame, among others.
Moore has been a starter for Martin Luther King since his freshman season, throwing from 7,488 yards and 103 touchdowns to just six interceptions in his career.
Last season, Moore completed 177 of 244 of his passes (72.5 percent) for 3,046 yards and 40 touchdowns with just three interceptions, all while leading his team to a 13-1 record and a state title.
Moore is coming fresh off of being named Sports Illustrated's MVP at the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles.
JULY 6 UPDATE
One of the top passers in the 2023 class, Martin Luther King (Detroit, MI) quarterback Dante Moore, has revealed the date of his commitment, and it is coming soon.
Moore is set to announce his decision on Friday, July 8, when he will make his final choice between Texas A&M, Oregon, Michigan, LSU, Notre Dame, and Penn State.
It is unknown whether Oregon's seemingly inevitable move out of the Pac 12 will have an impact on his decision.
JULY 6 UPDATE
One of the nation's top wide receivers has included the Aggies in his final five group and has set a decision date.
Miami (FL) wide receiver Jalen Brown in down to five schools ahead of his July 8th commitment date.
Along with Texas A&M, Florida State, Michigan, LSU, and Miami made the cut.
As a junior at Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL), Brown caught 56 passes for 1033 yards and 11 touchdowns.
His electric speed and athleticism has drawn the attention of almost every major football program in the country.
Brown will make his decision known on July 8th via his personal Instagram account.
JULY 5 UPDATE
Aggies class of 2024 quarterback target D.J. Lagway has announced his intention to visit Aggieland. As one of the top-5 quarterbacks in the class, Lagway, who will be a junior at Willis High School (Willis, Texas), has been a priority recruit for Texas A&M.
Lagway has received offers from other schools such as Alabama, Arkansas, Baylor, Clemson, LSU, Florida, and a dozen other programs.
JULY 1 UPDATE
Elite class of 2023 wide receiver Tyler Williams - who named A&M in his final five - will announce his decision on Sept. 27.
The 6-5, 190-pound pass-catcher from Lakeland, Florida received over 40 total offers.
JUNE 30 UPDATE
The Aggies are in the running for one of the nation's top corners, in South Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX) defensive back, Malik Muhammad, who released his final three on Thursday.
Alongside the Longhorns, Muhammad listed Texas and Alabama as his other finalists.
Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds, Muhammad also has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, TCU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, USC, West Virginia, Wisconsin and many more.
Muhammad played at IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL) his sophomore year, but came back to Texas to play for South Oak Cliff where he won a state championship this past season.
During the state title run, Muhammad finished with 68 tackles, six pass breakups three interceptions and one defensive touchdown.
Labeling him as just a defensive back, however, would be doing Muhammad an injustice. He's likely to remain at that position in college, but Muhammad is a terrific athlete that can make plays as a receiver, consistently lined up on the numbers for South Oak Cliff as a junior.
JUNE 29 UPDATE
The Aggies have found themselves as one of the finalists for the top defensive players in the 2023 class, in Ryan (Denton, TX) linebacker Anthony Hill.
The Aggies made the final cut alongside their arch-rivals, the Texas Longhorns.
Hill exploded onto the scene with the Raiders in 2020 as a sophomore, being named a first-team MaxPreps Sophomore All-American, and the District 5-5A-I Defensive Newcomer of the Year, all while helping his team (alongside current Longhorn J'Tavion Sanders) to an undefeated season a state championship.
That season, Hill Amassed 105 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks and two forced fumbles.
In his junior season in 2021, Hill was even more impressive finishing with 131 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, three fumble recovers, two interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns.
As a result of that impressive year, Hill was named the Texas District 5-5A-I Co-MVP, a first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American, and a Class 5A first-team all-state selection by the Texas Sportswriters Association.
JUNE 29 UPDATE
Texas A&M is one of two finalists for one of the most talented prospects in the 2023 class, Gaither (Tampa, FL) athlete, Eugene Wilson III.
The Aggies are one of just two schools in the running for the 5-foot-11, 165-pound speedster along with the Florida Gators.
Wilson plays both ways for Gaither, catching 62 passes for 925 yards and seven touchdowns, to go along with 23 tackles, five pass breakups and four interceptions in 2022.
JUNE 27 UPDATE
Talented class of 2023 wideout William "1" Fowles has named Texas A&M in his final four schools. The 6-2, 195-pound pass-catcher from Dade Christian School (Hialeah, Florida) also has Ole Miss, Georgia, and Miami on his list.
In 2021, Fowles brought in 47 passes for 1,100 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. In a game against Opa Locka Monsignor Pace that season, Fowles caught seven passes for 204 yards and a touchdown.
JUNE 27 UPDATE
Elite class of 2023 edge rusher Chandavian "Young King" Bradley has named Texas A&M in his final three schools. South Carolina and Tennessee are the others.
The 6-4.5, 220-pounder from Platte County (MO) High School has received offers from virtually every major program across the country, including Penn State, Oregon, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan, and LSU.
JUNE 27 UPDATE
Alabaster (AL) Thompson DB Tony Mitchell has committed to Alabama, choosing the Tide over his other three finalists, A&M, Georgia, and Auburn. Mitchell released his top four schools this past week and traveled to Tuscaloosa on Sunday to commit to coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
“The player development and opportunity to win a National Championship every year made it an easy decision for me,” Mitchell told 247Sports. “The best players go play at Alabama and they produce first-rounders every year.”
JUNE 26 UPDATE
One of the Aggies' top targets, Pittsburg (CA) Jaden Rashada, is heading to the ACC.
On Sunday, Rashada announced his commitment to the Miami Hurricanes and new head coach Mario Cristobal.
The Aggies were once a program Rashada referred to as a 'dream offer,' and will now turn their attention towards other top signal-callers, such as Dante Moore and Baylor Commit, Austin Novosad.
Rashada picked Miami over Oregon, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida, and Cal.
JUNE 25 UPDATE
Texas A&M just hosted Anthony Evans, so it's no surprise the Aggies made the cut among his top schools on Saturday.
The football and track standout from Converse (Texas) Judson High School made the announcement via social media, including the Aggies along with Georgia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, TCU, Penn State, Houston and UTSA.
Evans, a projected wide receiver, visited College Station last weekend for his final planned official visit. Georgia and Oklahoma have also hosted him officially, to date.
This spring, the 5-foot-10, 160-pound prospect made national news in running one of the fastest 100-meter dash times in America, clocking a 10.27 in April.
Offered by A&M in May, Evans was once committed to Arkansas in this cycle.
JUNE 24 UPDATE
Desoto (TX) WR Johntay Cook II dropped his final three schools on Friday, and Aggies have missed the cut.
Texas, Michigan, and Oregon emerged as Cook's final three.
This announcement comes just one day after QB Arch Manning pledged his commitment to Texas.
Cook and Manning have developed a close relationship throughout their recruitment and have frequently discussed the possibility of linking up in college.
With Manning now in the fold, Texas sits in a favorable position to land Cook's commitment.
JUNE 24 UPDATE
The Aggies have found themselves in the final group for one of the nation's top 2023 defensive backs, Thompson (Alabaster, AL) corner, Tony Mitchell.
Mitchell also included Alabama, Auburn and Georgia in his list of finalists.
Mitchell is planning an official visit to College Station on July 31.
JUNE 23, 12 PM UPDATE
Arch Manning has committed to the Texas Longhorns.
“There’s a LeBron-like feeling about Arch Manning. LBJ’s high school games got national television exposure in the early 2000s,” Sports Illustrated's, Chris Mannix tweeted following one of Manning’s 2021 games. “Betting ESPN will give Manning — a sophomore — a lot of run on its networks, too. He looks like a special QB.”More than that, however, the impact on the Longhorns, will almost instantly turn that program into the nation's premier destination for top-level recruits.

JUNE 18, 8:40 AM UPDATE
One of the top wide receivers in the nation has the Aggies at the top of his list.
Brandon Innis, the super-talented pass catcher out of American Heritage (Fort Lauderdale, FL) has the Aggies in his top-6 finalists, alongside some of the best programs in the country.
Alongside A&M, Innis is also considering LSU, Alabama, USC, Ohio State and Miami.
JUNE 16, 1:20 PM UPDATE
One of the best quarterbacks in America isn't quite ready to decide.
Chatter around Jaden Rashada not following through with his June 18 commitment date has been prevalent since his comments at the OT7 event in Las Vegas last weekend and they have more merit now.
Multiple sources tell SI that Rashada will instead commit on June 26. It means he could theoretically take one more official visit before making the final call, if true, between Miami and Oregon.
Rashada has already visited, in order, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, LSU and Florida for officials. Cal makes the other program in his final list of top schools.
"They've got something pretty good building up there," Rashada said of College Station. "Maybe they're a trigger man away. But they made a real good impression on me and my family, so I thought it was a real good, valuable trip."
JUNE 15, 12:20 PM UPDATE
One of the best in the country, at any position, is going to visit Texas A&M officially.
While it could seem like a longshot given his commitment to USC and standing with the program that also has his brother on the roster, Zacharriah Branch will give Jimbo Fisher's staff a closer look.
According to Chad Simmons of On3, the Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman standout will be in College Station the weekend of June 24, and it will be his first time in town. Alabama and Florida also continue to court the Lincoln Riley commitment.
Branch was targeted by A&NM with an offer from Dameyune Craig and Tommie Robinson back in May of 2021.
JUNE 10, 2:30 PM UPDATE
One of the top prospects in the 2024 class will soon be in College Station.
According to Sam Speigelman of On3, Saint Louis (Mo.) University School star wide receiver Ryan Wingo will be making an unofficial visit to Texas A&M next Thursday.
The 6-foot-2 wide receiver, who scored 15 offensive touchdowns in 10 games with 638 reception yards and another 214 on the ground, was offered by Texas A&M back in February.
The Aggies have yet to add a verbal commitment in the 2024 recruiting class.
JUNE 6, 9:30 AM UPDATE
Another A&M target in Florida cut his list of schools with the Aggies still in the hunt.
Hykeem Williams, one of the best receivers in the class of 2023, took to Instagram to announce top schools on Sunday and Texas A&M remains in the mix. Along with TAMU, Georgia, Alabama, Miami, Florida State and Pitt made the cut.
“I’ve got a great relationship with a few coaches on the coaching staff including coach fisher,” Williams told On3. “College station is just amazing."
Williams has an official visit to Georgia and Pitt scheduled for this month. He saw College Station earlier in the spring for an unofficial visit.
JUNE 3, 11:30 AM UPDATE
Texas A&M is still in the mix for one of Florida's top wide receiver recruits.
William Fowles, the Hialeah (Fla.) Dade Christian star wide receiver, announced his top six programs on Friday. In addition to the Aggies, Georgia, Ole Miss, Miami, Florida State and Maryland made the cut.
A&M was the second program to offer Fowles, way back in March of 2020, as the Aggies have made a push for elite prospects across south Florida.
Fowles, who scored a whopping 19 touchdowns in 2021, has yet to take any official visits of record.
JUNE 2, 12:30 PM UPDATE
The recruiting weekend in College Station just got that much bigger. Jeremiyah Love is now heading to town to take his official visit.
The Saint Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers running back recruit announced the news via social media on Thursday morning.
Love, who was originally targeted by Jimbo Fisher's coaching staff with an offer in April, was at Georgia in late May. Michigan, Alabama, Notre Dame and Oregon will get the remainder of the official visits, all set in June.
JUNE 1 NOON UPDATE
The Aggies are set for a big visit schedule this June, and one of the latest to make plans is Bergen Catholic (Oradell, NJ) defensive end Sydir Mitchell.
Mitchell is set to visit College Station from June 3-5, and is recently coming off of a visit with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Mitchell currently holds offers from a variety of top programs, including Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, Texas, Tennessee and USC, among others.
JUNE 1 MORNING UPDATE
Texas A&M is a top school for one of Oklahoma's best.
Bai Jobe, the Norman (Okla.) Community Christian School standout pass rusher, released his top eight programs on Tuesday evening and the Aggies made the cut. Oklahoma, Baylor, Georgia, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, Alabama and Miami also made the top eight.
Texas A&M offered Jobe relatively recently, in February, but have been a fixture among his top schools since.
MAY 31 UPDATE
Jaden Rashada has a date to get that first impression of College Station.
According to Sam Spiegelman of On3, the Pittsburg (Calif.) High School star will make an official visit to Texas A&M the weekend of June 3-5.
The Aggies, a program Rashada referred to as a 'dream offer,' will be among the last visits he will take before a verbal commitment is to be expected on June 18.
"Playing the biggest football, just that crowd and being in Texas is a unique opportunity," Rashada recently said. "It's something to try to make the most of, so that's kind of why I called it that."
Oregon, Miami, LSU, Ole Miss, Florida and Cal make up Rashada's top seven ahead of the final decision.
MAY 25 UPDATE
Texas A&M is lining up official visits with top targets and another is confirmed.
According to Nick Harris of Rivals, Odessa (Texas) Permian offensive lineman Harris Sewell will take his official visit to College Station from June 10-12.
The Aggies are in Sewell's top five along with Texas, Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma. The Tigers are also getting one of the trips in the month of June, per the report.
Sewell was last in College Station in early April for a spring practice visit.
MAY 25 UPDATE
One of the nation's top defensive backs has the Aggies in his top eight group.
Javien Toviano (Arlington, TX) dropped his top eight schools on Tuesday evening.
Along with Texas A&M, Texas, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Oregon, and Alabama made the cut.
The Aggies most recently hosted Toviano for a visit in January. They will look to get him back on campus for an official visit either in the summer or the fall.
MAY 23 UPDATE
Top 2023 recruit Anthony James has announced his de-commitment from Texas A&M. The 6-5, 245-pounder from Wylie East High School made the announcement on Twitter:

Arguably the top available quarterback recruit in the class of 2023 is set to see College Station for the first time.
Detroit (Mich.) King High School star Dante Moore, who has been coveted since his freshman season in 2019, earned an offer from Texas A&M earlier this year and now an unofficial visit has been set up.
According to On3, Moore will check out A&M for 48 hours beginning June 19.
“It will be huge for me to get down there and just see how it is,” Moore told Simmons. “I will spend a couple of days on campus, I will get a look at everything, and I will get to learn more about the coaches and the school."
Notre Dame has long been considered the favorite for Moore, but he has been able to take visits to Oregon, LSU, Miami and many others of late.
MAY 22 UPDATE
A top Florida prospect has trimmed his list of college options and Texas A&M remains in the thick of the race.
Grayson 'Pup' Howard made the move on Sunday afternoon, cutting his list of three dozen offers down to just five. In addition to the Aggies, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and Clemson made the cut via Howard's social media page.
A&M could be in line to receive an official visit, but the date has not yet been made public. Howard, who was at Georgia over the weekend, initially picked up his TAMU extension back in May of 2021.
The Jacksonville (Fla.) Jackson High linebacker prospect was in College Station for the blowout win over South Carolina in October and was also in town to camp in College Station twice last summer.

One of Georgia's top rising-senior football prospects has trimmed his list and Texas A&M is still in the running.
Ethan Nation, the Roswell (Ga.) High School standout defensive back, is down to eight programs. Announcing the news via his social media, the 5'11" standout revealed the contenders on Friday.
In addition to A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Ohio State, USC, Michigan and Oregon made the cut for Nation. He reportedly hauled in 50 offers to date as a recruit.
A&M, which recently hosted Nation in College Station, joined the fold in courting Nation with an offer back in February of 2021.

One of the top prospects to have already made a commitment in the class of 2023 has trimmed his list and Texas A&M is in the running.
Daquayvious Sorey, Georgia legacy and former Bulldogs wide receiver commitment out of Chipley (Fla.) High School, is now considering eight programs.
Along with the Aggies, Sorey named Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, South Carolina and Miami among his top eight programs.
Sorey de-committed on February 25, citing the desire to experience the entire recruiting process after making an early verbal commitment. He originally picked UGA in February of 2021, not long after his older brother Xavien Sorey signed with the school.
Texas A&M offered way back on January 31, 2020.

One of the top prospects in Alabama has Texas A&M high on his list.
Qua Russaw, an elite edge prospect in the Montgomery (Ala.) Carver High School class of 2023, announced a group of top programs on Sunday and the Aggies remain in the hunt.
Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Auburn, Florida, USC, Miami, Oklahoma and Alabama State also made the cut.
Russaw was in College Station earlier this spring with Carver teammate and fellow elite recruit James Smith.

Top Texas A&M offensive line target Knijeah Harris will announce his college decisions on Saturday morning, live on CBS Sports HQ.
Harris included the Aggies in his final five choices for Saturday, alongside Oklahoma, Alabama, Florida and Miami.

Elite wide receiver Jalen Hale of Longview High School has narrowed his list to six schools. Texas A&M, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, USC, and Ohio State are all still in the running for the 6-1, 185-pounder.
Hale went in-depth on his thoughts on the Aggies:
“Of course their coaches stand out but you know they have Haynes King and we been playing with each other since high school,” Hale said. “So I know I would get the ball fasho there and I love the facilities and it’s a good area.”

Texas A&M remains in the hunt for a top defensive line target.
Sydir Mitchell, the Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic standout up front in the class of 2023, cut his list on Sunday and the Aggies made the top group.
"It's the coaching staff. I've been talking to them since freshman year and they've been in close contact," Mitchell told 247Sports. "And the 2022 class, I really like that class. I was able to talk to them a little bit. And coach (Jimbo) Fisher is a great guy who I love to speak to and I've talked to him a bunch of times, especially at the spring game."
Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Rutgers, Miami, LSU and Auburn also made the cut for Mitchell.

The Aggies quest to rebuild the trenches along the offensive side took another positive step forward on Friday when they landed in the top-5 for talented Wakeland (Frisco, TX) offensive lineman Connor Stroh.
Stroh also listed Arkansas, Texas, Florida and Auburn in his top group alongside the Longhorns.
He also holds offers from Tennessee, Stanford, Ole Miss, Michigan State, Florida State, SMU, Indiana, Baylor, California, and Cincinnati, among others.

The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Elite running back target Cedric Baxter is down to five schools, including Texas A&M. In 12 games at Orlando, Florida's Edgewater High School, Baxter totaled 1,718 yards and 26 touchdowns on the ground while averaging 8.3 yards per carry.

Avieon Terrell, the Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake defensive back and younger brother of NFL cornerback AJ Terrell, announced his top schools via social media on Saturday.
In addition to TAMU and of course Clemson, Auburn, Kentucky and Michigan State made the top five. He told On3 Sports that a verbal commitment may not be far off.
A&M, like many courting the NFL legacy, offered Terrell while he was an underclassman recruit.

One of the best in Texas has trimmed his list and the Aggies remain in play.
Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff defensive back Malik Muhammad announced a move from more than 40 scholarship offers down to just six.
Muhammad also included Texas, Alabama, Florida, Miami and Michigan among his top choices. He was at Alabama, A&M and Miami most recently. He is among the most coveted defensive recruits in the country as a two-way talent checking in at 6'1", 175 pounds.

Texas A&M has been on the hunt for a quarterback recruit since Eli Holstein backed off of his commitment and now a new offer is out.
Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco quarterback Pierce Clarkson, who committed to Louisville in January, announced a new scholarship offer from the Aggies on Tuesday evening.
Clarkson, who split time as QB1 with Michigan State freshman Katin Houser in 2021, should be able to get even more experience as a senior in 2022. More than 20 programs have offered him a scholarship to date.
Louisville of course has had him on campus frequently and he will return in June for an official visit. No word yet on the possibility of him seeing other campuses, like College Station, before all is said and done in this recruitment.

The Aggies are in the final grouping for one of the top offensive playmakers of the 2022 class, Catholic (Baton Rouge, LA) wideout Shelton Sampson Jr.
Sampson made his announcement on Twitter, naming LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Oregon and Florida State alongside the Aggies.

One of the top soon-to-be junior football players in America now has a Texas A&M scholarship offer to his name.
Roswell (Ga.) Centennial offensive line recruit Daniel Calhoun is closing in on two dozen offers, with A&M jumping into the race for the 6'6", 350-pound prospect on Thursday, he announced via social media.
An All-Metro selection as a sophomore in 2021, Calhoun is also being courted by SEC powers Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida and others.

Texas A&M has plenty of in-state targets, especially in the trenches, and one of the most important cut his list on Wednesday.
Harris Sewell, rising-senior recruit at Odessa (Texas) Permian, trimmed more than 20 scholarship offers to just five and the Texas A&M Aggies are still very much in the picture, he announced.
Sewell also has Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama and Clemson in the mix for his services. The in-state star has been to A&M, UT and Clemson most recently.
Texas A&M originally got involved for Sewell more than one year ago, offering in February of 2021.

One of the most coveted offensive line recruits nationally has a known commitment date.
IMG Academy's Knijeah Harris, who has a top six including Texas A&M, is set to come off the board on May 7, he announced via social media. Harris will make the call public on CBS Sports HQ.
Harris was in College Station for the program's spring game over the weekend and got one-on-one time with Jimbo Fisher as part of his time on campus. Florida and Miami, two more finalists, represent his other two most recent trips. Alabama, Michigan State and Oklahoma round out the hats Harris will have on the table in less than one month.
A&M initially offered the Floridian way back in April of 2020, among the first offers he hauled in all together.

One of the nation's top punters is a future Texas A&M Aggie.
Tyler White, who didn't have a scholarship offer before a visit and sit-down with Jimbo Fisher this weekend, is the newest TAMU verbal commitment. The Southlake (Texas) Carroll star, who as a captain for the storied program last fall, announced the decision on Monday morning via social media. Texas was previously his most recent offer.
White is ranked as the No. 3 punter in America by noted scouts at Chris Sailer Kicking and Kohl's Kicking, respectively.
"Tyler has an ideal frame for a D1 Punter. His punting is a major strength," Sailer says via his website. "He is averaging 45+ yards with 4.8+ hang time. His best balls are measuring 50+ yards, with 5.0+ hang time. He has a big time future as a punter with continued hard work."
Miami also offered the rising-senior recruit, who becomes A&M's fourth public commitment in the class of 2023.

One of the hottest offensive line recruits in Texas now has a Texas A&M scholarship offer to his name.
Before the Aggies spring game on Saturday, Jimbo Fisher personally offered class of 2023 Frisco (Texas) Wakeland tackle projection Connor Stroh in his office. The near 6'7" offensive lineman was on campus for an unofficial visit Saturday before learning of the good news.
A&M joins programs like Texas, Florida, Auburn and many others in the mix for the big lineman's services. He has been busy on the visit trail, too, checking out UT, Stanford, Cal, Auburn, Florida, Florida State and others in recent weeks and months.

One of the youngest Texas A&M prospects will be on campus Thursday for a fresh look at College Station.
Madden Morgan, a class of 2026 athlete from the Houston area, announced plans to get to campus. The Under Armour All-American, who played in the UA Futures game back in January, is already 6'1", north of 200 pounds as a potential linebacker projection.
Morgan has been busy on the trail of late, visiting in-state programs Houston, Texas, and Texas Tech over the last two weeks.
The current eighth grade prospect could eventually become one of the top recruits in the Lone Star State in the coming years and he's getting quite the head start in seeing the latest with most of the programs in the area.

One of the top offensive tackles in the 2023 class, Chase Bisontis, narrowed his list of schools down to eight schools on Saturday night, including the Aggies amongst the finalists.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Don Bosco Prep (NJ) star also included Texas Ohio State, Rutgers, Miami, Georgia, LSU, and Michigan State in his list of finalists.
Bisontis also holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, USC, Tennessee, Wisconsin and many more.

The time is now for Lebbeus Overton, and the timing couldn't be better for Texas A&M.
Less than a week after returning from College Station for an official visit, the final piece of the 2022 puzzle as far as the No. 1 recruiting class is concerned has settled on a verbal commitment date. As announced on Wednesday, the star Milton (Ga.) High School pass rusher will come off the board Friday afternoon as part of ESPN's coverage of the Geico Nationals basketball tournament.
April Fool's jokes aside, the two-sport star announced plans to get the decision in at 2 pm CDT on Friday at Milton High.
Overton, who is expected to pick a program alongside his brother and transfer candidate Micaiah, was a menace at Milton since starting as an eighth grader. Reclassifying earlier this year, the 6'5", 260-pound prospect registered more than 100 tackles for loss and 50 sacks while pursuing top skill position prospects in the greater Atlanta area.
Along with A&M, the perceived favorite, Georgia, Oregon, Oklahoma and Ohio State are among the finalists.

One of the top running backs in the country pulled off a Texas swing on the visit trail over the weekend. After seeing Texas at the end of the week, Florida native Cedric Baxter Jr. saw Texas A&M for the first time.
It's safe to say the staff in place in College Station made an impression, per 247Sports.
"I almost felt like I was in heaven because I grew up a Florida State fan and I didn't really realize how many people that played for Florida State are on staff at Texas A&M," Baxter said. "Like Antonio Cromartie and Rashad Greene. It's a lot of good people."
Baxter, who ran for more than 1,700 yards as a junior for Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater as a junior, also noted the facilities at A&M and hinted at a potential return to campus for an official visit.

Texas A&M is courting plenty on the defensive line in the class of 2023 and it remains in the running for one of the best in the South.
Vic Burley, a big defensive lineman out of Warner Robins (Ga.) High School, announced his top 12 programs on Saturday evening. Along with plenty of heavy hitters, A&M made the cut. Georgia, Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and many others did, too.
The Aggie angle has been a part of this recruitment for nearly a year, as Burley picked up the TAMU offer from defensive line coach Elijah Robinson last May. It could be slightly uphill for Jimbo Fisher's program at the moment, though, as Burley has yet to take in College Station by all indication at this point. Should the program want to remain in the game for the 6'5" Peach State star, it would need to get him on campus in the near future.
Burley's most recent trips have been to Georgia, Clemson and South Carolina, a trio of SEC programs that also make the top 12 cut.

Following up a No. 1 overall recruiting class isn't easy, but this weekend could provide grounds for continuing that climb for Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M.
The program is not only set to host reclassified defensive line recruit Lebbeus Overton and his brother in Liberty transfer Micaiah, but several class of 2023 elites will be flocking to College Station as well.
Among them are a fellow trench standouts in Montgomery (Ala.) Carver High School defensive linemen James Smith and Jaquavious Russaw. Each have been longtime targets for the A&M defensive staff. Not only are each close and plenty familiar with their SEC options, but Alabama native Dameyune Craig has helped keep TAMU in the mix for many from his home state.
The group has been touring campuses with their personal trainers, Madhouse Fitness, and spent time at Miami earlier this week and Auburn of late as well.
A&M once had Carver graduate and fellow Madhouse trainee Keshun Brown on the roster, though the linebacker transferred to South Alabama last fall.

Texas A&M remains in the hunt for arguably the top running back recruit on the West Coast.
On Wednesday, Jayden Limar filtered his list of options into a top nine and A&M was the only SEC program to make the cut. Oregon, UCLA, Washington State, Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami, Louisville and Arizona flanked Texas A&M in the group for the Lake Stevens (Wash.) High School product.
TAMU running backs coach Tommie Robinson initially began courting Limar at an A&M camp back in the summer of 2021, when the junior came to College Station and earned his scholarship offer.
Limar, who recently visited Washington State and UCLA, was the Cascadia Preps Offensive Player of the Year in 2021. As a junior, he rushed for 2,005 yards and scored 35 total touchdowns.

The Aggies are moving quickly after the decommitment of quarterback Eli Holstein. The first known offer since the weekend parting of ways went out on Monday morning.
Detroit (Mich.) Martin Luther King staff Dante Moore, arguably the top passer in the class of 2023, announced a new offer from Jimbo Fisher's staff via social media.
The rising senior is as coveted as any player is nationally, recently making visits to LSU, Florida and UCF, among others. Those considered high on his list of options include Notre Dame, Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State, too.
As a junior, Moore led King to a state championship in throwing for 3,047 yards and 40 touchdowns against just three interceptions.
The QB is taking several visits during the Hotbed spring break bus tour, already making stops at Auburn this week with Miami next up.

Texas A&M is in need of depth at the running back position. And now, the Aggies are one step closer to making that happen.
On Friday, one of the most talented players at the position in the 2023 class, Roderick Robinson, released his top-9 schools, with the Aggies falling into the mix.
Robinson also named Arizona, California, Miami, Oregon, Tennessee, Stanford, UCLA and USC to his list of finalists.
Robinson also announced visits to USC on March 26, UCLA on March 31, and Stanford on April 1 and 2. He is also planning visits to Miami, Tennessee, and A&M in the coming weeks, but has yet to set the dates.

It looks like arguably the top Texan in the class of 2023 was back in College Station this week.
According to 247Sports, Allen (Texas) High School standout defensive lineman David Hicks was back in town for a visit on Wednesday. The report says he spent time watching spring practice for Jimbo Fisher's Aggies and came away positively following the day.
"They’re gonna get the most out of me if I go there," Hick said. “I’ve always liked A&M a lot, so this wasn’t going to change anything. But it was nice to be able to see what the everyday experience would be like down there.”
Hicks, who is also considering programs like Texas, Oklahoma and several others in his top group, was last in College Station in February. He spent time at Miami seeing Mario Cristobal's new program earlier this month and has plans to work out at the Under Armour Next camp in Dallas this weekend.

The Aggies got some good news via Twitter yesterday as one of the nation's top 2023 wideout recruits listed Texas A&M in his top nine schools.
A&M will be competing with Stanford, Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, TCU, Texas, and Oregon for James' services.
The 6-3, 180-pound James broke out in the pandemic-shortened 2020 season Del Valle competed within. In just six games of varsity action, the wide receiver hauled in 39 passes for 419 yards and five touchdowns per John Garcia with SI99.

One of the nation's top defensive prospects has trimmed his list.
Joenel Aguero, a versatile secondary prospect who spent 2021 at IMG Academy in Florida before returning to his native Massachusetts for his senior year, has narrowed his list to seven programs.
The Texas A&M Aggies, along with Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Florida, LSU and Ohio State made up the top seven he released Wednesday night via social media.
More than two dozen programs have offered the 6'1", 195-pound prospect and he will hit the visit trail this month now that the list has been created.
Aguero has yet to make a recruiting trail to College Station, but that is likely to change in short order as he advances with his recruitment. The rising-senior, who helped IMG to a 9-1 record as a junior, was considering making a fall commitment but pushed things back amid a wild coaching carousel.
Texas A&M has four verbal commitments in the class of 2023, though none in the secondary just yet.

Texas A&M has a new trench target with quite the resume.
Ian Reed, an all-area performer along the Austin (Texas) Vandegrift offensive line as well as on the rugby field at 6'6", 205 pounds, now has a Texas A&M offer to his name.
The rising-senior recruit learned of the new offer on Thursday in speaking to multiple A&M coaches, including Jimbo Fisher.
"They're legit and we got off on the right foot," Reed told SI All-American Friday. "They want to compete and win the SEC and want to win National Championship. I was just honored and humbled to get a prestigious offer like A&M."
The two sides are working on Reed getting to College Station for the first time as a recruit.
"We haven't setup a date yet, I'm busy with rugby and my family is busy, we'll try and find a time to go (soon)," Reed said.
Texas, USC, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Cal and others have offered the 2023 standout to date.

Cedric Baxter, a op junior from Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater High School, will hit the visit trail this spring and a trip to see Texas A&M is among the first he is scheduled to take.
"I'm going to Texas and Texas A&M at the end of March," he told Inside the Knights' Brian Smith. "And then I might go to Ohio State April 2 and Arkansas on April 16."
Baxter, who did include Texas A&M in his top 12 from late November, is the latest Aggie target in the Sunshine State to appear to have set up a visit. The program signed the top two Florida natives in the class of 2022 in Shemar Stewart and Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy.
Following the 2021 season, Baxter was named the Offensive Player of the Year by the Orlando Sentinel. He rushed for 1,718 yards and 26 touchdowns for the Eagles in helping the program to wins as a junior.

One of the top young running back recruits in the country has eyes on Texas A&M.
Stacy Gage, who will be the lead back at IMG Academy this season, told Sports Illustrated his new Texas A&M offer was one of the last remaining tenders he was hoping to pick up. It came during the evaluation period, soon after Jimbo Fisher spent time at the school.
"He is a cool guy and when he was here he was running around with energy," Gage said of Fisher. "Like when Nick Saban was here, he was real private. When he (Fisher) came, he was really energetic and it was a great impression."
Gage has just about every offer in the country to his name and visits will play a large part of his recruitment down the stretch. Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma are among the contenders to the Aggies at this time.
"I was really looking forward to getting the Texas A&M offer, I'm glad it came in a few weeks ago," Gage added.

After reclassifying from the 2023 class to the 2022 class, prized defensive end recruit Lebbeus Overton immediately became one of the most sought-after recruits in the country.
Overton quickly narrowed down his top five to Texas A&M, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Oregon.
And now, according to a report from 247Sports national recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong, it appears that Overton's older brother Michaiah could be joining him at his eventual college of choice.
“Us together, the duo, that would spice things up,” Micaiah said to Wiltfong. “I know we can work off each other.
Micaiah has spent the last two seasons at Liberty as a tight end, but plans to make the move to the defensive end spot at his next stop, having added nearly 80 pounds of strength.
He is also excited to have a chance to make an impact with his younger brother, as a tandem.
“It’s just a blessing,” Micaiah continued. “God has been paving the way for us.”

Back in the summer of 2012, early July to be exact, the Texas A&M staff moved forward from their interest in young quarterback recruit Jackson Hamilton.
Following a visit to College Station, an offer was extended by Jimbo Fisher's staff even before entering his freshman year at Pearland (Texas) High School. He got playing time on varsity in 2021 with the offer in hand. Vanderbilt has since followed with an offer of its own.
The son of longtime football coach Pep Hamilton, there was speculation he could be on the move for a different NFL coaching stop. It would likely mean the young passer would no longer be a semi-local recruit to A&M, but it is no longer the case.
Pep Hamilton will remain with the Houston Texans under new head coach Lovie Smith, as he was appointed to the offensive coordinator role this week. Reports suggested the Jacksonville Jaguars were considering bringing Hamilton in for the same role. Carolina and Chicago were also interested in recent weeks.
Pop on the class of 2025 quarterback's tape and you'll see evidence of a mature signal caller relative to his age, from the footwork, strong arm and awareness to know when to tuck and run as a legitimate dual-threat talent. Hanmilton can play.
It's never too early to look ahead at the game's most important position and it appears a prime A&M target will remain in the area for the bulk of his varsity career.

Texas A&M made it last in-person run at the top undecided recruit in America Thursday night.
Shemar Stewart, the one-time A&M lean out of Opa Locka (Fla.) Monsignor Pace High School, will be back at Miami for an official visit this weekend but not before Jimbo Fisher's staff got some more face time with the elite pass rusher.
Nearly all of the Aggie coaches, including Fisher himself, spent time Stewart's house on Thursday evening in what has become a comfortable bond between each party.
"It was like a big party," a local source told All Aggies.
Stewart, who was at Georgia checking out another finalist last weekend, ranks as the No. 3 overall recruit in the class of 2022 and would stand as the highest-ranked Texas A&M signee since Myles Garrett should he ink with the 12th man on Wednesday.

Texas A&M will be seeking to add offensive line talent in the 2023 recruiting cycle, and one of the top names in the state of Texas is set to make a trip to College Station this weekend, in Austin Westlake IOL TJ Shanahan.
One of the more heavily recruited offensive linemen in the 2023 class as of late, Shanahan was offered by the Aggies last January, and has taken unofficial visits to Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, Miami, Georgia, UCF, and a host of other programs throughout the year.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound rising junior has also been offered and recruited by Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, USC, Wisconsin, and West Virginia among many others.

One of Texas A&M's top remaining targets has trimmed his list.
According to 247Sports, SI99 safety recruit Jacoby Mathews will choose between Texas A&M, Florida and LSU on National Signing Day. The February 2 choice will come down to the trio, eliminating Texas and Alabama, among others still hoping to traction with the Louisiana native.
Texas A&M's staff went in-home with Mathews earlier this week. LSU will host the safety projection for the final official visit of the cycle this weekend. Florida also recently got him on campus.
The Aggies' No. 1 recruiting class has several targets left including fellow SI99 recruit Shemar Stewart, former commitment Harold Perkins and others down the home stretch.

Texas A&M has made the list of finalists for elite Tyler Legacy defensive lineman Jordan Renaud, who released his top-8 on Thursday afternoon.
Alongside the aggies, Miami, Florida State, Texas, Oklahoma, TCU, Michigan, and Alabama are amongst the finalists for the 6-foot-4, 250-pound 2023 recruit.
Renaud also has offers from Florida, Baylor, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Tennessee among many others.
JANUARY 18, 2022, 8:00 AM:
Texas A&M has the top recruiting class in the country but the final dust has yet to settle on the class of 2022.
That day will come February 2, where top targets will sign a National Letter of Intent to their school of choice. It includes verbal commitments, like Harold Perkins, yet to wrap up their recruitment in an official capacity.
Perkins picked A&M at the Under Armour Next All-America Game on January 2, as the Aggies landed the SI99 linebacker recruit over Texas, LSU and others. That day, he talked about taking a few more visits to be sure, and that process has started. Florida hosted him over the weekend and Perkins told Greg Biggins he will use his final official visit to see the new coaching staff at Miami.
As for A&M, he remains verbally committed, but Florida made an impression and a final decision appears yet to be made.
"I’m committed but still open to other schools and I’ll make my final decision on February 2nd," Perkins said. "I’m enjoying the process and have one more trip to take before shutting this all down.”
Perkins is in Hawaii for the Polynesian All-Star week, where he will play his final prep game on Saturday Evening.

Texas A&M's No. 1 recruiting class speaks for itself, but there is perhaps room for another addition or two before things wrap up for the traditional signing day on February 2.
The top target for A&M, and many others, is also the top uncommitted recruit in the SI99 rankings in Shemar Stewart.
The Aggies have been the trending program for the south Florida pass rusher since the fall, but is it still the case? Local Miami and Georgia are trying to close the gap before pen meets paper next month and he spent time at The U over the weekend, telling multiple outlets it was his best trip to Coral Gables yet.
The Canes were the first program to visit him after the NCAA's dead period ended on Friday morning and they will get the final official visit out of Stewart, too. National champion Georgia is scheduled to host him next weekend to try to make up ground.
At this time, there does not appear to be another College Station trip in the plans for Stewart (he took his official visit during the season) before he officially decides between the three programs. It comes down to the lead Fisher's staff amassed, with the help of assistant coaches as well as top recruits.
Was it big enough to withstand the run Mario Cristobal and/or Kirby Smart has left in the tank the rest of the way? A&M has held off other programs for many signees to date in the class, from Walter Nolen to Evan Stewart and many others in between.
