Texas A&M adds 4-Star OL Chris Morris to 2020 Recruiting Class

The Aggies offensive line could be getting a boost

COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M is always looking to become better in the trenches. Over the past decade, four former Aggies offensive linemen have heard their names called in the first round of the NFL Draft.

With the addition of Fort Bend Kempner offensive guard Akinola Ogunbiyi, the Aggies interior offensive line will be set for the future along with freshman Kenyon Green. The team might have now found another key blocker for the future of the program Wednesday.

Four-star offensive tackle prospect Chris Morris announced his commitment to the Aggies Wednesday morning according to 247Sports. The West Memphis, Ark. product was in town over the weekend during the Texas A&M-Alabama game.

The 6'3", 290-pound pass protecter is currently ranked as the No. 97 overall prospect in 24/7 Sports top 100 prospects. Other teams on Morris' radar include Alabama, Arkansas, Ohio State and Tennessee.

Morris is a versatile player who has spent time playing multiple positions on the offensive line. Most comfortably, Morris has stated he enjoys playing the offensive tackle position over most.

Morris' commitment bring the Aggies to 19 overall in the 2020 recruitment. Currently, Texas A&M ranks seventh on 247's rankings, second in the state of Texas behind the Longhorns (5th).
