Hello!

SI here, the man who knows nothing giving you everything you need to know about TCU athletics. And that includes basketball. So they tell me. Regarding the TCU vs. West Virginia game on Tuesday, here is the relevant information:

Tipoff is at 8:00 pm at Schollmaier Arena, in our own Fort

The game can be viewed on Big 12 Now on ESPNU with Ted Emrich and King McClure.

Alternatively, TCU fans can listen to the game at 570 KLIF Radio with Brian Estridge and John Denton or listen to or watch the game live from the Riff Ram app.

And now for the inexplicably obligatory narrative.

If Mike Miles had not been hurt, we would have won that game.

And if Michigan had played that particular Georgia team, they would have been massacred too.

These are the kinds of things I tell myself for self-consolation, the only consolation, after losing to the SEC, which is about as enjoyable an experience as a dental operation proferred by an angry ex, without any hope of Novocaine.

Those of you who have watched the John Schlesinger film "Marathon Man," starring Dusting Hoffman and Laurence Olivier, or who have ever had an "ex," particularly of the female persuasion, will know exactly what I mean.

So TCU went down for the count on Saturday against Mississippi State.  But they stand an excellent chance for redemption against West Virginia today--West Virginia, who earned their first conference victory at our expense.  Granting that, TCU has not historically fared well against West Virginia on their turf.

Fortunately, our boys will be coming off a tough loss, with much to prove.  Additionally, we will have the home court advantage.  And, not least, we're the better team.

And if I'm lying I'm dying.
