At the press conference this week, Head Coach Gary Patterson kept it short and sweet for the media. He is just focused on getting his team back on track after losing to two teams that out played them. He stated when he came to the press conference, "I don't have much to say, so I'll make it a boring press conference today." His only response to a lot of the questions asked was I am focused on beating Kansas State. The Horned Frogs can definitely get back on track.

They just got away from what they are good at doing.

"We have to get back to the QB power run," said Patterson. "We got away from doing us because we did not want show too much. Dealing with injuries at the QB spot we have to do us. Whether that's with Max or not."

Over the last three games, Max Duggan's carries have gone down drastically, but looking into this matchup with Kansas State, they look forward to getting them back to it.

Also, JD Spielman is retiring after this season. After suffering a injury, the standout receiver had a conversations with his family and Coach Patterson. He concluded it was time to end and not put his body through no more pain.

Moving on to Coach Patterson favorite side of the ball - defense. He is just focused on beating Kansas State, as he stated several times in the press conference. He is getting his defense ready for the good running back they have in Deuce Vaughn, and hope they can contain Skylar Thompson who can also be electric. TCU has a lot on their plate with things going on and off the field, so how will they stay focused with all the distractions.
