Jeremy Pruitt Provides Update on Trey Smith’s Health

Matthew Ray

The SEC coaches teleconference is currently going on, and Jeremy Pruitt just provided an update on Trey Smith’s health.

Smith suffered a shoulder injury during Tennessee’s contest on Saturday night against South Carolina, but the extent has remained unknown.

Pruitt noted today, “ Trey practiced yesterday. He is fine.”

Smith wore a noticeable brace during Tuesday’s practice session, but it did not look to limit his mobility or range of motion.

He is a key piece of Tennessee’s offensive line, and he graded out as one of top performers on the offensive line on Saturday.

Pruitt also provided a brief update on Darel Middleton and Shawn Shamburger's status for Saturday. Middleton is expected to practice today, while Shamburger is not. It looks like Shamburger could make his return against Georgia.

Tennessee will host Missouri on Saturday at Noon ET.
